Junior National Golf Club

I have played this course several time over the years. I like the layout and the fact there are no houses around it . It is quiet and peaceful out there out of the city. The course is in bad enough shape that it is very frustrating to play. Between the fairways for the most part is dirt and then you have these random spots of grass a foot high so you’re ball rolls through the dirt to find the tall grass. I lost more balls here than I lose on a desert course. There is no excuse for that grass to be that tall it is just that you don’t bother to mow it. The fairways and greens aren’t to bad but the hayfield between the fairways that isn’t supposed to be there is horrible.

I have played this course 100 times or so in the past 30 years... It has had numerous owners and a checkered past regarding condition and maintenance.

Today was by far the worst shape I have ever seen. This is unfortunate since this is really a great lay out designed by Red Lawrence and accommodates players of all skill levels.

Hard to say what has caused the downturn other than a weak economy or mismanagement.

It was hard for me to write this review since I have reviewed the course previously and positively... It was in fact a feature review at one time.

I am only writing for the benefit of potential customers. Lots of better places to spend your money until they find a remedy.

Save the "Sorry bout your round" reply you have been sending every reviewer for the past 6 months... Conditions are not due to recent weather issues, try again.

Last year we loved playing Tres Rios, the improvements on the course as a whole were wonderful. This year, it is the absolutely worst shape we have seen it. After two tries, it is now off our list. Some might say you get what you pay for, but we have golfed at other courses in the area for the same price bracket that were in great shape.

The greens were in terrible shape- like putting in a parking lot!

The grass next to the fairway was not just ruff but ridiculously tall- you’d lose your ball if it just rolled off fairways

Under responsible management this couse could be very nice

I love this course, been playing it since the 1980's and this is the worst I've ever seen it. Rought is a foot high and the greens are Horrible. I'm never going back.

the course has not any money put into since last winter season. they should not have let it get so bad over the summer!!!

The golf course was in poor shape. The greens had dead spots and used sand to cover dead patches. The rough was about a foot long and hard to locate the ball.. no sand in bunkers. I will never golf at this course again.

1 star, only because the grass was green, They've got balls (pun intended) charging $25 for cart path/rough only golf. The fairways were nothing special, the greens, were only that, green. Spotty, furry, lots of bare spots on which they sprinkled green sand. We had not played here for a while and certainly remembered why, Same old tired course, so many rough patches. We will not be back and will certainly tell friends to stay away. Such a shame for what could be a real gem of a golf course.

They just reopened from over seeding. Staff was great. The rough was thick and the greens were rough. Overall I had a great time.

Course was not taken care of good enough to play. Grass on fairway is like rough. Green is not even; there are many dirt spots on every green.

The greens were victimized by a fungus and in terrible shape. The Fairways were half grass.The tee boxes had no grass.

course was in tear able shape ,poor markings,a cow pasture would of been in better shape.

Sprinklers spraying when I'm trying to play. Greens were aerated and I wasn't told that the course was being repaired.

Course is in really bad shape. They should be more honest to the public. Post pictures of the current course conditions. Dry fairways, greens and tee boxes. Debris everywhere. Edges untrimmed etc.. I've been coming here for years and the course has always had its ups and downs but, this by far is the lowest I've seen it, enough to make me never return

i know the course is only playing for $14, but i can’t believe they let ANYONE play with the course in as bad condition as it is. greens are punched oit and tee boxes are horrible. didn’t make it passed 4 holes

Today the course was in horrible condition. The tee boxes are all dead grass or dirt. The fairways are dead or dying. Hole #2 has a water leak.

Aerification delayed, course probably hadn't been watered in 2 weeks, drives would roll forever (good) but greens wouldn't make a ball mark even if you dropped a ball from an airplane, but given the price, ok I guess.
