About
Junior National Golf Club (formerly known as Tres Rios Golf Course at Estrella Mountain Park and Estrella Mountain Golf Course) is rich with dense forestry including eucalyptus, mesquite, and pine trees as well as cottonwoods. The course has a parkland-style layout with rolling fairways lined with trees and undulating greens that are medium-sized and fast. To add more challenge to the golf course, water hazards and bunkers come into play on several holes. The par-4 seventh hole is considered the most difficult driving hole on the course. There are stately trees off the tee and the second shot is to a narrow sloping green. Junior National Golf Club features multiple tee boxes for a variety of different golfing options.

Good for the price and would go back
Sometimes hard to tell where the next tee box was. Most greens really thick grass some were a little worn down. Good value for the price and would play here again.

Tres Rios
The course is in fabulous condition, fairways are green, geeens are in really good condition. If you like playing the long ball there's plenty of holes and if you like shorter holes you get them also.

Course Sucks
This course needs some serious work. Greens were thick then bald and patchy. Grass wasn’t mowed anywhere outside of fair and finding balls was impossible. Course Lay-out was alright and the carts were so slow, I could have walked faster. Hot Dogs were 4.50 and sub par. Course seriously wants to make you quit golf.

Great track
Always enjoy this course. Can’t afford to play here most of the yr but when prices drop I live to play here!

Good value
Tres Rios is a fun course that poses its challenges. Keep it in the grass or you have tree trouble or hitting out of dirt. Some greens need some work as there are some dead spots. But this is an affordable course and fun to play. I wish they would not raise the cups and instead use foam inserts or turn the cup upside down.

They wouldn’t even give you a pencil,
They won’t give you a pencil. Fairways where either dry and hard causing balls to bounce funny or over grown slowing down low runners. Greens where hard, but slow very sandy very. Haven’t played there in years. Will be a few more before I go back.

Love this course
Tres Rios is about as close as I will come to a home course. I play here frequently. With the current Covid 19 situation, they are doing the best they can. The course is in good shape. The staff is taking all precautions while still providing good service. I've always liked playing here and will continue to do so.

Similar to golfing on a construction site, not much of a fairway, lots of weeds all over, lots of dirt patches mixed in with the fairway, greens were awful, course looked like it was on it's last legs, no scorecards or pencils were give to to virus? No ranger and a foursome snuck in front of us so we had to constantly wait on the front 9.

Cheap, get what you pay for...
The staff was awesome! The course was a bit rough, the pace of play was horrible. They were triple booked from the app Golf Now. But the we felt pressure from people behind us and we were pressuring the people in front of us. No houses so great for new players. Fairways and green are ok, but if your in the rough, it’s very rough lol. But lots of fun and some what challenging. Would not play again. But the $30 value was the best in town.

Greens in transition
The pace of play was a little slow with a foursome, followed by 2 twosomes, then my twosome. Took about 4 hours 20 minutes. I like the layout, although the greens are in the transition between the winter rye and Bermuda, so they weren’t in the best condition. However, the tee boxes and fairways are in nice shape. The course is doing a good job with social distancing and keeping people from touching objects.
