About
Junior National Golf Club (formerly known as Tres Rios Golf Course at Estrella Mountain Park and Estrella Mountain Golf Course) is rich with dense forestry including eucalyptus, mesquite, and pine trees as well as cottonwoods. The course has a parkland-style layout with rolling fairways lined with trees and undulating greens that are medium-sized and fast. To add more challenge to the golf course, water hazards and bunkers come into play on several holes. The par-4 seventh hole is considered the most difficult driving hole on the course. There are stately trees off the tee and the second shot is to a narrow sloping green. Junior National Golf Club features multiple tee boxes for a variety of different golfing options.

Great Value
New gas carts, no GPS, fairways are the best I've ever seen at Tres Rios and the greens were fine for the most part. We've been playing Tres Rios since 2010. As snowbirds, each year we come back not knowing what to expect. Yesterday was a bit of a treat.

Really improved
The fairways and greens are in much better conditions then a year ago. The management has done a wonderful job of reconditioning the course. A great value!

Great Improvement
This course has had its ups and downs over the years and I can honestly say it is on an upward swing. Overseed turned out very good, new gas carts, greens are immensely improved and the prices are still fair.

The greens have improved immensely
My husband & I had a most enjoyable round of golf today. The friendly greetings when we arrived were well received. We are novice golfers and this course provides for good value for your dollar. Would recommend!

It could be a nice course
The course is neglected, basically rundown. Management doesn't seem to care. Sometimes pace is okay, sometimes it is really slow.

B4 Thanksgiving
The course was in good shape, greens and fairways , but there were many totally bare spots. Also the rough “ was rough “!!! Overall though it was worth the price paid to play.

Disappointed
We have played this course occasionally over the past few years and feel that conditions are gradually getting worse.

Improving Course
Staff is great, no cart girl. Course much improved. Wide open no cart restrictions, bunker new sand has been prepared and raked, very nice. Greens still need a couple of weeks to fill in from over seed. Fairways in great shape. Enjoyable day.

Vastly Improved
Carts are required to ride on path or the ruff. Being the fairways are not wide it is not far to your ball. Common winter ruff dead grass. Fairways and tee boxes are in great shape. The greens probably have another couple of weeks to fill in, but play just fine. This is the best I have seen this course in quite a few years.
