Wild Dunes Harbor Course, designed by Tom Fazio, is said to be cut from some of the prettiest real estate in South Carolina. Water makes up a great deal of the Harbor Course layout. After all, half the course runs along the world’s longest water hazard, The Intracoastal Waterway. Fazio claims the Harbor Course to be one of his favorites. "Working on the Harbor Course was very satisfying to me as a designer because we had to create everything. It was a very challenging, and ultimately, a very satisfying project."

Charleston Golf

Really no place to park. Finally found a spot on the far side of some tennis courts in the dirt. Kind of frustrating!

No place to hangout after playing was a bit off putting.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Course was great, challenging and a little rough due to recent overseeing but I understand that has to be done.

Enjoyed it

Clubhouse staff was helpful, starter was really friendly, enjoyed the course and the layout. The only negative was that the greens were a bit fuzzy and rough, making it difficult to get a true roll. Played with someone that had played it before and said that it's usually in much better shape.

Recommend despite limitations

Harbor has its limitations, but is a course I’ll play again. The off course amenities are all but entirely missing. If you’re looking for a posh experience, this isn’t it. As well, the course is narrow, which is perhaps an understatement. I for one, didn’t mind, but it can make hitting fairways a challenge.

Despite these limits, it was a great course. Challenging, beautiful, and a very friendly staff make this course one that I’ll play again.

Pretty good. Very nice staff.

Pretty slow, but you get that at resort type courses. Check in was very very nice. Wish they had said that the course does not come back to the clubhouse at the turn. So no snack, no drink.

We liked the course. Didn't like having to pre-pay.

The course was in overall good condition. Fairways were nicely mowed. Greens were in good condition and were a medium speed. Sand traps were hard packed as were the waste areas. The layout was good with the exception of #5. The tee box is a bit of a road trip from #4. Water on just about every hole. To be expected for a beach course. The staff was friendly. The cart guy asked if we had a lot of balls, which we did, and yes we lost of few to the water. The starter gave us a good preview of the course. There was a 2-some teeing off in from of us and we never saw them after teeing off. No one behind us. We had the place to ourselves. Not busy at all. The weather was perfect. Had a great time. Scored reasonably well. Pricey at $135 and I didn't like the online booking pre-pay. I recommend this course and I would play it again.

Wait a year to play…

Layout was good for a coastal South Carolina course. Greens were too furry bumpy and slow to make a reasonable putt more than 5 feet. The rough was too thick for the average golfer making it a frustrating experience. I would hold off playing here until the expected redo is finished.

Don’t be fooled by ratings. Don’t play here!

When we arrived the pro shop warned us that we should have lots of balls . Also that the greens were slow. Should have bailed but wanted to play golf that day.

The worst feature was the greens . Pro shop understated how bad. They were laughably slow. The fairways are tight with water everywhere.

They ran sprinklers on a few of the holes on the front nine. Why during the day when we are playing. Had to navigate around them with carts. Got wet.

The conditions on the back nine were terrible as most of the areas adjacent to fairways were under construction . They should have reduced the green fees as a result.

Ending up being one of the least enjoyable rounds I have had in a long time, Glad I only paid $110 but felt robbed as I should have only paid $50 or so.

When we complained afterwards the pro shop attendee just smirked, like this was just another day for him.

Nothing Special

The layout was nothing exciting, water on most holes, several blind shots, the bikers were filled with stones and the greens were the slowest I have played in a long time.

Top notch staff and top notch course!!!

This is a course that you simply have to play! The challenge is there with smaller green. The scenery is throughout the course is a huge bonus, and the staff treats you so well. My son and I appreciate this gem eveeytime we are on vacation!!!

Very disappointed

Played Wild Dunes Harbor course with family on July 24, 2024. I was very disappointed in conditions. The greens were not only super slow, but they were bumpy as well. It was almost impossible to putt well. The bunkers were literally the worst I've ever seen. Not an ounce of sand in any of them. The highlight of the round was the refreshment cart, run by a young lady who was very courteous and very quick getting around the course. I expected much better conditions for the money.

Course was in rough shape to spend this much

Cool layout along the ICW, but course wasn’t in great shape. Greens were a little rough. I’d expect better for the price, but it’s not an outrageous cost, so probably worth a shot.
