About
Unlike many other courses in Phoenix, the course at the Toka Sticks Golf Club was not done in a traditional desert-style. It is known amongst locals for having very fast greens, many of which are elevated. The old Toka Sticks course was originally a nine-hole course built in 1945 but in addition to making it an 18-hole, championship course, it has had many renovations in the years since to make it a more challenging and interesting course. There are stately trees present on the course call for straight shots in order to reach the narrow fairways. Two lakes are situated on the course that create water hazards that come into play on sever holes. There are also several well-placed sand bunkers throughout. Toka Stick Golf Club also offers a short game area, a putting green and a driving range.

Great Shape!
Played on 3/12 with another couple. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were excellent! Bunkers the usual desert hardpan. Staff was very nice. Only one water cooler on the course but beverage cart was around frequently! A little on the pricey side but it was in great shape! We like the track as well! Could use some attention with garbage gathering. Pace of play 4 1/2 hrs.

Nice Overall Course
There are other courses in the area that are nicer for less money. However if the price was about $20 per round less this would be 5 stars. Pace of play was amazing the day we played. Course is in fair condition. Pretty raggedy rough areas with weeds growing, dirt paths etc. but the greens and fairways were good. Very consistent and not overly challenging greens which was a plus for me.

Course was in great condition, it was a warm day but the pace of play was good !
Open layout but grumpy staff
Was surprised as to how unprofessional and grumpy the cart girl was (or that im event taking time to mention it). She drove up on us 2x as we were teeing off (towards us in the direction we were hitting). Maybe it's her first day on the job. Also, the "no cooler rule" despite showing I only had water and granola bars, claiming they have water on the course. Wrong, the coolers were empty, and when addressing with the snack bar, she just shrugged her shoulders. If you make someone take their soft cooler of water back to your car, you should keep the water containers full. Won't be back as it was not a value for $100.

Course is in overall very good condition. greens are fairly quick, bunkers could use more sand
Fun Round
This is my son and myself second time in three years playing here while visiting Phoenix. Great time fun venue and friendly staff. I recommend this as a fun day of golf. Pace of play good, greens undulating and challenging!
Great time
Had a great time. Grass conditions are excellent and greens very good. We finished in 4 hours. Course is very flat but green complexes are built up and well done. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
