About
Unlike many other courses in Phoenix, the course at the Toka Sticks Golf Club was not done in a traditional desert-style. It is known amongst locals for having very fast greens, many of which are elevated. The old Toka Sticks course was originally a nine-hole course built in 1945 but in addition to making it an 18-hole, championship course, it has had many renovations in the years since to make it a more challenging and interesting course. There are stately trees present on the course call for straight shots in order to reach the narrow fairways. Two lakes are situated on the course that create water hazards that come into play on sever holes. There are also several well-placed sand bunkers throughout. Toka Stick Golf Club also offers a short game area, a putting green and a driving range.

terrible experience
Play somewhere else and save your money. I’ve never been harassed by staff until playing this course.
Greens are in rough shape
I like this course but most of the greens need to be completely redone.
Course conditions not the best
Needs some work as lot of hard dirt but could be great with more care. Also no rangers to keep pace of play moving especially on hot days.
Where’s the water?
Course has no drinking water. They charge $2 for a bottle of water from the bev cart. Somehow this feels against state law? Unsure. Just put drinking water on the course.
Toda Sticks
Fun track and seems not to busy for a Saturday. Course is in pretty good condition.
Strange layout
Had a great time it was extremely slow however it was 4th of July courses laid out a little strange par fives were hard to judge will play it again now that I've seen the layout overall good value
Green conditions
The greens were extremely spotted with holes and the hole placement was unprofessional and wrong.
Okay…
Not the best course I’ve ever played but was in decent shape, and some of the holes were fun to play!
Slow play on hot day
Took way too long between shots and no ranger on course to keep play moving along!
