About
Unlike many other courses in Phoenix, the course at the Toka Sticks Golf Club was not done in a traditional desert-style. It is known amongst locals for having very fast greens, many of which are elevated. The old Toka Sticks course was originally a nine-hole course built in 1945 but in addition to making it an 18-hole, championship course, it has had many renovations in the years since to make it a more challenging and interesting course. There are stately trees present on the course call for straight shots in order to reach the narrow fairways. Two lakes are situated on the course that create water hazards that come into play on sever holes. There are also several well-placed sand bunkers throughout. Toka Stick Golf Club also offers a short game area, a putting green and a driving range.

Pace horrible
Waited at every single tee box! 2nd time this has happened here. No Marshall on course. Very frustrating 5 hour round.
2 Drink Minimum Foe A Bucket of Ice
I do not know of any other course do this. I won't be back while that policy exists.
Toka review
The course is very straight forward and because the layout seems to follow the perimeter of the course in a anti clockwise fashion it doesn’t. Favour a right handed player who slices as OB is always out to the right. Some of the par threes are well protected by ponds and reeds especially if you play the back tees. The fairways were in good shape and the greens were quick and undulating. The course is quite flat and makes for an easy walk. My only complaint if the fact that the practice/range fairway runs parallel to the first fairway. I can’t believe no one gets hit. All in all I had a good experience!
Great course
Toka Sticks GC was in excellent condition. A few putting green surfaces were blemished and a couple of tee box areas could use some conditioning help.
Inside and outside staff, including the beverage cart staff member, were all very friendly, welcoming and appreciative of our presence on the course.

Best course we played in the monthof march
Played 8 different courses in the month of March. The condition of this one was excellent compared to al the rest. the whole course was in good condition and because of this I will play it next year.

fairways good shape ,some greens good and others missing turf . Some tee boxes uneven
Basic skills course
This is a great course to hone basic golf skills with tricky bumpy greens! Played 18 holes in 4hrs! The staff are fantastic!
Fun course
Always a good time at Toka Sticks. Pace was pretty good and course in good condition.
Poor Policy
I used to play this course 10 or more x per year. Now, if you want ice and a cooler, you are required to buy 2 drinks. Only course in AZ behaving this way I know of. I won't return until this policy is gone.
