About

Unlike many other courses in Phoenix, the course at the Toka Sticks Golf Club was not done in a traditional desert-style. It is known amongst locals for having very fast greens, many of which are elevated. The old Toka Sticks course was originally a nine-hole course built in 1945 but in addition to making it an 18-hole, championship course, it has had many renovations in the years since to make it a more challenging and interesting course. There are stately trees present on the course call for straight shots in order to reach the narrow fairways. Two lakes are situated on the course that create water hazards that come into play on sever holes. There are also several well-placed sand bunkers throughout. Toka Stick Golf Club also offers a short game area, a putting green and a driving range.

The greens roll true and the fairways are doing pretty good..

We had to leave 3.5 hours in after 11 holes due to pace of play. They charged $12 for ice in the cooler

Fun Course

At first glance this course can seem pretty flat and plain but it actually has a lot of character. Theres a lot of doglegs, the par 3s are pretty tough and many have water around them, and the greens have some good angulation. Course was also in decent shape. Will definitely be back

Nice Course

Tee boxes are ok some had dips . Fairways very good for this time of year with the rye to bermuda grass transition

Greens very good . No sand in bunkers . Hard dirt that is the only flaw

BAD bunkers

Course was in good shape. Some of the greens had some sections of repair happening but we're overall good.

Bunkers were unplayable... Hard pan cull crap.
