About
Unlike many other courses in Phoenix, the course at the Toka Sticks Golf Club was not done in a traditional desert-style. It is known amongst locals for having very fast greens, many of which are elevated. The old Toka Sticks course was originally a nine-hole course built in 1945 but in addition to making it an 18-hole, championship course, it has had many renovations in the years since to make it a more challenging and interesting course. There are stately trees present on the course call for straight shots in order to reach the narrow fairways. Two lakes are situated on the course that create water hazards that come into play on sever holes. There are also several well-placed sand bunkers throughout. Toka Stick Golf Club also offers a short game area, a putting green and a driving range.

Course in great shape
We actually started early , pace of play was good and the course was in good shape
Pleasantly Suprised
Haven’t played here for several years was pleasantly surprised the course was in great condition! It is a very good layout and staff was super friendly. Will be back!
Enjoyed the day! $35 value golf winning!
Fair and playable course. Par 3’s all play long which I felt helped with course difficulty. Good par 4 mix, many holes favored the power fade and your ability to work the ball either way will be challenged. Greens fair but not consistent.
New carts without GPS, was surprised no sand to fill divots? Course conditions good after overseeing, sand traps played just fine.
Shot 41-41, had two sand shots, 28 putts as chip and 1- put was was possible all day after missing the smaller greens.
GOOD DAY
COURSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE. THE GREENS RAN TRUE AND QUICK. ONLY COMPLAINT, THERE WAS NO SAND WITH THE CARTS TO FILL IN THE DIVOTS.
Average Public Course
Good course for the money with descent conditions. The pace of play was fine for us because we were out early but we could see backups in multiple spots. The layout has lots of par 3’s and par 5’s. That combo doesn’t lend itself to quick play so something to keep in mind. I don’t feel like this course is a “must play” but if you are in the area and want to play a relaxed round without the price tag of other courses its just right.

Overseeding SO cart path only! Fairways good and greens Excellent! Paired with Canadian couple with same golf skill set so very enjoyable day heh!

Nice course to golf but the pace of play was slow. It took us just over 5 hours to finish. There were no marshals on the course to get the play moving along at a better pace. The staff were very friendly. The prices were good.
