About
Unlike many other courses in Phoenix, the course at the Toka Sticks Golf Club was not done in a traditional desert-style. It is known amongst locals for having very fast greens, many of which are elevated. The old Toka Sticks course was originally a nine-hole course built in 1945 but in addition to making it an 18-hole, championship course, it has had many renovations in the years since to make it a more challenging and interesting course. There are stately trees present on the course call for straight shots in order to reach the narrow fairways. Two lakes are situated on the course that create water hazards that come into play on sever holes. There are also several well-placed sand bunkers throughout. Toka Stick Golf Club also offers a short game area, a putting green and a driving range.

Good old Toka
Nearly 3 hours to play the front nine. I think it’s the 8 min tee sheet interval, or the course design with a par 5,3,5,3 on holes 2-5, whatever the cause it’s terribly slow. People started quitting on the back nine so it went a little faster. Course is in decent shape, greens are good, tee boxes are not. Little drinking water on the course. It’s all be to expected though, good old Toka Sticks.
Playable
The course is well maintained and the staff was friendly. A basic, flat layout, but it is golf. For me, PRICE always plays a big part in my decision where to play. At $79, this was the top end of what I would pay for this course. On this day, proximity played a bigger role, otherwise I probably would not have paid that much to play here.

Perfect day for golf
The course was in near perfect condition. 4 hr round.
Its been a while
Corse was in great shape. I enjoyed my time there. I will come back again. My only beef is that you can't book a single and mostly play alone. I played with my brother and uncle this day. It really worked out well. I will be back.
Course is in good playing condition
Course has done well after overseeding. Tee boxes were good for the most part, though a few needed watering (difficult to insert tee). Fairways were firm and offered good elevation to the ball. Greens were good and rolled true. Sand traps were needing additional sand. Pace of play was good until the turn, when every shot was met with a delay, destroying any rhythm that had been established and damaging the scores of all players. Overall, good value for money.
Not bad. Early season condition
Basically your up and back course layout with a couple challenging holes. Fairways were in good shape, rough areas where there was grass was deep and thick. Greens were in ok condition but fairly fast

Course is in decent shape for early in the year. Enjoyable round.
Perfect day
Played on 11/18-cart path only. Course in good shape after overseeding! Pace of play was good. Golfers need to fill in divots while waiting. Would like to see more management of garbage on and around the course-takes away from the beauty of it. The staff is always very nice!
Nice course
We played on 11/25, 90 degree rule.Most tee boxes had grass, fairways were pretty nice albeit people need to fill in divots while waiting, bunkers ok, and most greens pretty good shape. Pace of play was just over 4 hours but we were not in a hurry and it was great weather! The staff is very nice! There is only one water station on the course and one at the turn by the pro shop. There is a beverage cart, she was very nice! Only complaint is the marshals should attempt to pick up garbage when driving around.
