About
Cave Creek Golf Course is Phoenix's most popular municipal course, seeing about 100,000 rounds yearly. In 1983, Cave Creek began as a landfill reclamation project. It's a sort of pioneer in environmental design, proving similar spots can find environmentally friendly uses. It's open dawn to dusk, year-round.
Eighteen holes of par-72 golf take golfers over 6,732 yards on the Cave Creek Golf Course, kicking off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 363 yards from the blue tees, before things get long on the second hole, which measures 510 yards from the blue tees. That's just one of four long holes, with the sixth hole measuring 532 yards from the blue tees, the 11th coming in at 521 yards from the blue tees, and the sixth having a distance of 518 yards from the blue tees. The round concludes after a suggested playing time of four hours and 10 minutes on the 18th hole, a par 4 that measures 388 yards from the blue tees.
The city of Phoenix has contracted with several hotel chains to offer stay-and-play packages for golfers at the Cave Creek Golf Course and other municipal tracks.

Staff, bunkers, greens excellent.
Having said that, I can not recommend the course at this time although they were watering all day (10:30-3:30 ) along with applying fertilizer, the fair ways were toast. For $20 hot deal, just move your ball to the nearest green spot, " just be flexible ! "
Burnt ends BBQ very good, dry crispy fairways not so good
Wow what a difference a week makes staff was wonderful as always sand traps well manicured the course is in dire need of some monsoon rains crispy brown patches throughout the fairways noticeably more noticeable than just A week ago green still rolling good and very receptive and soft they were putting fertilizer in head sprinklers on the course throughout the whole day hopefully we will get some on soon soon can't beat the $20.62 hot deal price, good opportunity and value to practice some shots

Great value for the course
Always enjoy Cave Creek...challenging back nine as usual and course length adds to challenge...some of the tees were rough but greens and fairways were solid...great round

Phenomenal condition
Best course I've played in a while, yeah it had its areas here and there but that's why you don't hit in those areas. beyond that the greens were lush and soft they are just getting ready to punch or needle punch the course and it will only prep it for an even better conditions heading into summer and a city course at that.
they did some extensive work on the clubhouse since the last time I had been there it's a pleasant to have a city course in this kind of condition at a reasonable rate thank you so much for all your efforts

Course was overpriced
They allowed a group of five to play together and we waited on every tee box, fairway and green shot. Course conditions were poor for the money. Should have been half of what we paid.

Over all
Tee box’s and fairways are a little rough, cart paths would be used more offen if they were not so rough ,very rough.
Greens are not bad run pretty true.

Kids were playing on the fairway, the pace was brutally slow, other than that it was a nice course

Fun course for a great price
Wide fairways, but some challenging greens. Both are well maintained for a public golf course. Pace of play was quick and very little waiting. I have played here several times before and will continue to do so.

Nice Course
A fairly well maintained course. Wide fairways. Some difficult greens. Some greens were undergoing repairs. A good value this time of year in Phoenix.
