Encanto Golf Course

We had such a fantastic day! It was as crowded as could be but we finished in 4 hours. Staff and other golfers are always great at this course. The front 9 is located next to Encanto Park and seeing hundreds of people and kids enjoying the park was fantastic. I've played this course many times and always have a blast! Fairways and greens in great shape!

Greens were quick and rolling perfectly. Fairway conditions were great and we finished our round in under 4 hours starting at 1:30.

Groups were going out before their scheduled times and leaving single players behind. It happened to two consecutive singles.

Course is in good shape, the greens are fast and it is difficult to keep the ball on the green with some tough pin placements, especially on the front 9.

It was a good day of golf, great pace of play!

Played this course for the first time. Had no expectations, and was pleasantly surprised! This course is pretty wide open, and very forgiving, yet still a lot of fun. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pace of play was about average for a busy course. Great value for the price. Would play here again.

Nice course for amateur golfer. Not to long and basically sand and a little water only hazards. Wide open fairways and even when you miss pretty easy get back on course. Only negative I really have is it was very busy so 4+ hours a round

Front nine was slow due to a slow group in front of us and they didn’t have the etiquette to let us through. Back nine was faster so it made it possible to get the whole 18 holes in but the final hole was dark.

I wasn’t alerted that the back 9 greens were aerated and would not have booked here if TeeOff had alerted me of that. They were unputtable!

Not too exciting, but solid golf course with excellent greens.

Pretty good value for a municipal course. Nothing super challenging about this course but it's a decent length at 6300 yards and it's in pretty decent shape.

Most enjoyable round. Very nice track, well maintained, quite scenic, on my list of repeats.

I hadn’t played here in a couple years and it was always a well priced, easy course. Only reason I was here today was price (I live a little too far away now to play regularly) was reasonable compared to everywhere else’s ridiculous rates.

It’s still an easy, somewhat boring layout, but that has its place and what I wanted for the day. Fairways were nice, bunkers were above average, tee boxes average, and rough the typical bare lie no grass average you’d expect this time of year.

The surprising, and somewhat disappointing, part was the greens. They are incredibly firm and fast for a muni, and supposedly easy course. Don’t get me wrong, they were in great shape, but there was a bit of a “stay in your lane” factor that Encanto should have considered. I don’t know about everyone else, but I come to courses like Encanto for an easy, and hopefully under par experience. Not stressing over 4 foot putts or if my wedge is going to hold on the green. I had a 4 putt on 11 and had to go back and look at my stats to see when the last time I had a 4 putt was. It’d been awhile.

Anyway, I probably won’t be back for awhile, but that’s mostly because I live far away. But I’ll certainly consider elsewhere if I want an easy day if the greens remain in that condition. I’d say they easily cost 6 strokes. Stay underneath the hole people!

After all that, it’s still a nice course, and in great shape. Greens just weren’t what I was expecting.

Pace was a little slow primarily due to the group ahead of us, but the course was fun to play. Beware of the undulating greens and speed. Definitely a course where you need to hit short and not get above the hole
