The Encanto Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course designed by William P. Bell and built in 1936. It offers 6,404 yards of par-70 golf from the championship tees.
Reservations are required on the Encanto Golf Course, which is open year-round, and features all of the amenities, such as rental carts and clubs, an in-house professional and a driving range. Metal spikes are allowed.

Bang for the buck
Encanto 18 continues to be a favorite course. Walkable, challenging layout that always provides a good time even with the amount of play it gets. Excellent value with the Phoenix City Card.
Nice people, terrible greens
Everyone at the course was very nice, but the course conditions didn’t match. The greens were AWFUL….they should be called browns instead.
I know it’s Arizona where golf is expensive, but this is a $25 course, not $80+.
If you do play here, make sure you land your approach shots short because the greens do not hold at all
To much water
Its great that your watering the course but it made some shots difficult because the could would fighg into the ground. Love the course
Very Good Course - Greens not optimal
Overall, Encanto 18 is a great value track. Highly recommend over the higher priced courses. Only minor complaint is that the greens were a bit variable on speed and not very smooth. The grass height is not consistent and the ball might move slightly left or right because of the slight differences in the height of grass patches. Wish I took a picture and you would see what I mean.

Too bad the pace of play didn’t match the speed of the greens. I love this course but it’s difficult to wait on every shot.

Muni course
True municipal course. Boring layout, greens in poor conditions fairways were furry slow pace of play. Don’t recommend this course unless you pay close to nothing
Very slow pace of play. Need a full time ranger to monitor slow groups.
Greens on the front side not in very good shape. Dry and bumpy.

Pleasantly surprised.
Encanto is a very nice course. It is just flat and long(er) than most. But was a pleasant change. We golf a lot....and have in 18 different states! We know nice course.
Pace of play was an issue
Need to have a ranger, otherwise it was a nice experience. Fun courses but very long!
Greens
Usually fun to play with good greens, however the greens were recently punched so did not roll well. Should get better in a week or so.
Fun and fast- 4 hour round. Despite the greens having been recently aerated, they were in great shape.
