Fun to play and good for the money.
It is fun to play and has some hard shots.
It is easy to get to and the weather was great.
Target Golf
We enjoyed our round at Vistal golf course. It was very challenging. It had elevated tees on some Par 3's which required accuracy. The sand traps were also challenging with lips up to 2 feet on most holes, however the sand was easy to hit out of. The greens are in good shape and the fairways were firm. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We definitely plan on returning here again.
Needs work!
Like the layout, but course needs a lot of work. Fairways and greens were dyed green to make them look better than they really are.
Golfer
Fairways painted and if very poor condition. Pace of play was good as were the views of the city from some of the holes.
Don't play in winter
Great layout, great views. Unfortunately, no grass. Fairways were painted. Chipping impossible. Won't play again until grass is growing.
Excellent value
What a great course for the money - greens are excellent and the fairways are very good. Love the desert views.
Not Likely to play again
Besides the items rated above the good is the views of the City. The bad is poorly designed, unfair holes (e.g. firm, uphill, elevated greens which in some areas are not much more than 10 yards deep, minimal fringe then unplayable mountain desert. Also had many tees 20 yards +/- up which is not conducive to a fair score for handicap purposes.
For the price
For the price you can't beat the stall staffs okay conditions above average pace of play excellent
Good layout
Love the course, wish it was I overseeded so that the fairways were green, but then the price would go up!
Nice lay out
Nice course, senic, nice lay out.
Fairways are painted and greens a little hard.
We paid 35 dollar and for that money it's ok
You get what you pay for
I have played this course before but they are letting it go. A lot of dead grass and even the greens were in bad shape. I will NOT be playing Vista again
Beautiful Views but painted fairways
It was a great layout but they paint the fairways and greens which made for difficult putting and not true greens
Great course for the money
We've played this course 3 times and have always had a good experience. Nice layout and greens are pretty fast which I like. Staff is friendly and keep things moving on time. I will play this course again.
put some money in it
such potential, great views, could give the Legacy and Raven a run for their money if they spent some money on the fairways and greens. Beautiful views but that's it... no grass all paint and then they have the nerve to rush you through your round
Excellent views of the city
As other reviews state this is a great value for your money spent. It is challenging but not to hard. Down hill lies and uphill lies making it challenging. Every hole is different and has it's quirks but you can shoot low here if you avoid the bunkers and get a few lucky putts.The views are fantastic as you watch planes landing and taking off at Sky harbor and can see downtown. Your close to the Raven another great course and the legacy another excellent course but they are more expensive.
Course was in good shape, the speed of play was great
The course was not too busy which was great for a Friday, the rates are really good and the staff was super friendly. Can't wait to go back
2nd time playing this course, played better this time. course is in good shape mostly.
tee boxes a little worn, but everything else very good shape, We enjoyed our round as a twosome. We got around in 4 hours with little waiting except on the charity par 3 hole.
One of the nicest courses in south central phoenix
I was pleased with the course except 90% of the sand traps were fill with water from the heavy rains. Greens and fairways were in good shape. Very nice views of south mountain and Phoenix.
