Great view of the city and south mountain.
Pretty course with interesting holes. Good value for the money.
Chalenging course...good value
For the cost the course was in good shape. Enjoyable course to play and the staff was friendly. Will be playing there again.
Great location, views, and holes
always fun to play even though in average condition. For the money, great value!
Review
The coourse was in good condition. Pace of play was slow as group in front of us did not care to play ready golf. Lots of view of Phoenix and South Mountain.
Enjoyable golf
Very good design layout, much variety in holes. Outstanding customer service. Great views, south mountain proximity with no homes surrounding makes for an enjoyable day.
Rough around the edges but great value
Visual is a bit rough, the greens are in great shape but they do not overseed, so the fairways are dry and rough. The layout is excellent, with many challenging holes. This is desert golf at its best. Very good value for the money, a lot of fun to play. Highly recommended.
Good value for the price paid
Play this course again in November, a lot of improvement than in Feburary. I finally find out from starter that there are no winter grass on this course. Course layout is good. Green requires maintenance. Not bad for the money worth.
Great value for the $$
Our favourite course in town with beautiful views of downtown Phoenix, good easy access & great friendly employees. Highly recommend for a great day on the course.
Good Condition
Course is in good condition. Staff very accomidating and friendly. Pace of play was slow, as there were two foursomes that thought they were at Q-School. Greens rolled well, and they had some tricky pin placements. Enjoyable, fair, and challenging. Overall a good day of golf.
Great Staff and conditions
Walking up to the course I was met by the cart attendant and was well cared for from then on. He promptly took my clubs and loaded them and directed me to the club house. Inside the staff was very friendly and prompt. Course and range was well maintained. The practice green was substantially slower than the course greens. Had a great time there. Go and check them out.
This course had great views and was very quiet.
I enjoyed the course it was not overly difficult and allowed for bad tee shots to be played it also had some challenging holes and greens. The only drawback to this course was the bunkers were like playing out of gravel. But I would play again and tell others especially those who are learning or are not great golfers but want a nicer course. The staff was great very friendly and helpful.
Fun course with some really good holes
Course was in really good shape. Greens were nice, not too fast, probably will pick up speed as they get further away from over seed. Fun track with some really great holes. Nice amenities too.
We call this our Home Course
This a great little course hidden just south of Downtown Phoenix that is great to play and a value year round. While it isn't a "Pristine" or "Luxury" course, it is fairly well maintained and has a completely unpretentious staff that are friendly and always there to help. It also has a great grill with very reasonable prices that is great to hang out at after the round. This course could just as easily be a high dollar course as it could be the value that it is and I am glad it's the value. Even though I should probably rate this course a 3 star, I give it 4 stars for the great layout, views and staff.
EXCELLENT AND CHALLENGING
REQUIRES SOME LENGTH ONCE OR TWICE BUT CONSISTENTLY REQUIRES GOOD APPROACH SHOTS AND PUTTING. LOTS OF TRAPS AROUND THE GREENS AND GREENS REQUIRE A NIMBLE TOUCH
Best conditions I have ever seen on their fairways.
This time of year, everyone knows that Vistal is going to be VERY dry and fast, especially in the fairways. Well, not this year, the rains, extra watering or whatever.....they are plush and thick. This made for nice playing conditions. The greens were still somewhat affected by the aeration , but not too bad. let's face it though, dirt bunkers are the pits!! I wish every course in AZ would get rid of them. They are a cop out in my book. For $15, it was quite the deal on a very playable course.
Great Course for the money
I really enjoy this course. The staff is friendly and do a great job of keeping things moving and ontime. The course is in fair condition. The greens are a bit shaggy and sloww, but that is to be expected on a course of this price point. The course does offer some nice elevation changes and the views of the city are great. I hope to continue to play here due to the value for the money.
the course was in good shape, enjoyable experience

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Course was beautiful, desert and city views.
