About
Coronado Golf Course is as excellent place for golfers to work on their short game and it is also great for beginners. The course is relatively flat making it pleasantly walkable. The greens are large and the fairways are lined with trees, but still have generous landing areas. The holes are quite challenging with water hazards and bunkers coming into play. The relaxed atmosphere and affordability of the course have made it popular among locals, yet the course is still surprisingly not crowded most of the time. Coronado Golf Course has convenient practice facilities, including a lighted driving range that stays open until 9 every night.

Great price, easy pace
The layout is a little tricky at the third hole but the staff try to explain it to me before hand when the website says the location is cash only they mean it if you book online through GolfNow it’ll accept credit cards but if you need anything else when you get there including adding a card or anything it would have to be cash on hand. But overall it was a great time.
Fun course to work on short fame
Easy, fun course with quick pace of play, and plenty of chances to work on your short game. Wife and I played nine holes in 1:20. Recommended for beginners but fun for a 15 handicap, too.
Great course to hone your short game
We were in town for one week and we chose this course to warm up for the more challenging courses ahead. This turned out to be a perfect plan.
While some of the fairways were a bit thin, the greens were in great shape. Testing out new clubs, and their performance around the greens was just what the doctor ordered.
The staff was extremely friendly, but be advised this is a cash only course. I highly recommend it for use as a practice round before a big game.
Fallen on Hard Times!
Played Coronado regularly in the 70's, 80's and 90's. It was a well maintained, simple course with just enough water and sand to add a little challenge. A great place to spend a couple relaxing hours My first visit back was a real shock. Aside from an odd and un-necessary redesign since i was last there, the course gets little to no maintenance beyond a basic mowing of the fairways. Huge bare spots on the greens, dead trees lying on the poorly watered fairways. No tee or directional markers. The good news is it's cheap...but it's not fun, challenging or relaxing.

Dog Track
This title might be a bit harsh but this course is in really sad shape. All the greens have huge dead spots. There is no signage so you have no idea where to go to tee off or which way to hit the ball. The price was right for a course of this caliber. I'd recommend Continental, Encanto 9 Hole, or Mountain Shadows Short Course.

Rough!
I played Coronado with my Dad and Brother (both gone now) almost weekly back in the 80’s, and was looking forward to a little nostalgia on my first trip back in more than 30 years. What a shock! CGC has really fallen on tough times. Greens, fairways and landscaping have obviously been neglected for many months….or years. I have such fond memories of times on this course, so hope it can be rehabilitated rather than succumb to commercial development. All that said….it IS cheap!

Booked an early hot deal 9 am tee time for me, my sister and bro in law. I walked and they decided to take a motorized cart $10 cash each plus tax. Coronado was in the best shape I’ve seen it in. I’ve played a lot of golf this summer and I was pleasantly surprised 🥰

The Tee Boxes really need to be marked. It's very confusing in several places. Yardage markers in the fairway would be helpful. Yardage indicated on the scorecard for the Forward Tees needs to be added. The Greens need SO MUCH WORK.

OK - but still a goat pasture
Tee boxes are rough - greens are even tougher. Fairways are recognizable. Fees are a little steep considering the shape of the golf course. HOWEVER, the staff is incredibly cordial, I'm always among friends, and the worst day golfing is still better than the best day working. Good track to practice your short game.

Rough shape but great pace
Greens a patchy and fairways are not in good shape. Finished nine in an hour and 10 minutes. Staff was great. Needs water and TLC

Great Course...for the price :)
9-Holes + Cart for $20. Like most, I am ended up here for the cost savings. Did not have high expectation but this little course grew on me throughout the day. I wish the greens were in better shape. The rough was really rough. Lots of spotty grass areas in the fairway but I found it to be a great place to burn off 9 holes if you aren't that picky. Lots of fun Par 3s and some short 4's that are possible to Eagle. A coyote practically walked up to us unafraid and non-threatening- just sniffing around before running off. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. The course can be challenging for long power hitters but its perfect for short game enthusiasts. In the end, I'll be back and I'll find more to enjoy I'm sure.
