About
Coronado Golf Course is as excellent place for golfers to work on their short game and it is also great for beginners. The course is relatively flat making it pleasantly walkable. The greens are large and the fairways are lined with trees, but still have generous landing areas. The holes are quite challenging with water hazards and bunkers coming into play. The relaxed atmosphere and affordability of the course have made it popular among locals, yet the course is still surprisingly not crowded most of the time. Coronado Golf Course has convenient practice facilities, including a lighted driving range that stays open until 9 every night.

Exec in need of some care
Hit balls at range with very little grass left on the tees, but obviously a very busy reasonably priced range. then walked with cart. Tees rough, fairways not much grass, greens not bad but also little short on grass. Layouts not bad, but nothing, not even a 150 marker, to help with distance if you don't have a range finder

Value course
Course was available at $15 price point for 9 hole executive. Fairways and greens ok - not great. Signage non-existent. Pace ok. Staff friendly.

Hole signs
There were no signs to let you know what hole you were playing. Very difficult to follow course.
Fun Course for new Golfers and Families
Fun little course for new golfers or Families with young golfers looking for a fun straight forward layout. Couple of nice short par 3’s that build confidence with hitting the green and setting up a birdie putt. A couple of longer par 4’s allowing you to practice driving and chipping onto the green for a birdie or par.
Enjoyed golfing 9 holes
At Coronado you can golf 9 holes for under $20.00 and for us it is close and always easy to get on. The staff and other golfers are all friendly. Great place for beginners like me.

Possibly the worst course in Scottsdale Arizona.
Coronado is an inexpensive executive golf course that is waiting to be made into condominiums. It has been in the same place for about 60 years, maybe more. Unfortunately, the current owner does not seem to want to put any money into the course at all, and seems to just be waiting for a good enough offer to sell the property, leave with his profits, and turn the whole thing into more condominiums. Something that Scottsdale certainly doesn’t have a need for.
If owner would put a little bit of money into seeding, signage, and landscaping, this could be a great course. But for now, it’s a dog track at best. Save your money, go to Encanto 9 for the same money or less, and a significantly better maintained course.

My first time playing Coronado golf course
The weather was perfect. My friend and I walked the course and the other 2 in our foursome had a cart. We enjoyed a nice round. We found it difficult to figure out where to go for the next Tee - There were no signs directing us and even more surprising, no indication of which hole we were on when we got to the Tee. A simple thing to correct. This is not a complicated course, very simple and not very costly.
Let us first say that we are so glad to hear you came to visit. We work hard to create an enjoyable experience so you can focus on enjoying yourself and let us do the rest. We also want to thank you for your honest and constructive criticism of the course.
