Willowcreek Golf Course
About
Willowcreek Golf Course in Sun City has one regulation length 18-hole course, the Willowcreek Course, as well as one executive length course, the Willowbrook Course. The traditional layout of the Willowcreek Course features three lakes that form water hazards that come into play on four holes. The course is relatively flat but there are some minor rolling hills that cause uneven lies. The fairways and greens are consistently in good condition on both courses and they are both considered very user-friendly. The Willowcreek Golf Course facility used to be private but it is now open to the public.

Overall good with a couple of caveats
We teed off just before 1pm and immediately found the pace of play slow. Lots of room to spray drives and hazards can be avoided to a large degree. Greens were firm, fast and VERY interesting. Fortunately, quite a few players left after the front so the pace of play improved markedly on the back nine. The layout was familiar to other Sun City courses but had a few wrinkles to keep you on your toes. All in all a very good day! Good place for beginners and low handicappers.
Golf
Greens were tough, course was in excellent condition
Late start.
Teed-off about 3:30 and only played 13 holes before it got dark. Great deal from golfnow, so 13 holes was still a good deal.
Front 9 was slow, but moved along as people dropped out when the sun set.
Course was wide open with some ponds and 'cement streams'. Good greens. Well maintained. Traps were placed in the wrong spots for me.
Good Sun City course
Have played here several times this year and this course has always provided the most bang for the buck. Course is still in good shape with above average speed on the greens. About to be reseeded next week but knowing them the course will be great once it is completed. Highly recommend course and staff and Golf Now always seems to have some kind of deal available for this course. One of my favorites in the Sun City area and always enjoy playing this course. Sometimes overcrowded due to fivesomes being allowed.
Slow play, tough greens
Round took 4:40 hrs. Of course it is a senior golf course, the greens are anything but flat most every put had a break many were severe , fairways were okay, most tee boxes were not level, the rough was moderate & playable, course length is normal for sun city. Playing time will top out around 5 hrs this winter that's when I will not play.
Good morning
Course in great shape. Pace good. Great job by maintenance crew
fun, good course
good, fun course. greens and fairways were good. rough was challenging. staff is always friendly at sun city and sun city west courses.
I don't understand why so many people don't tip outside staff who clean the carts.
and why so many cigarette butts at most courses - just rude.
very enjoyable course
We have played this course many times - and always enjoy the outing - we enjoy the course and the staff always treats us like members.
One of the better Sun City courses.
Meadowcreek is one of the early Sun City courses designed for retired folks that enjoy a round of golf without a lot of punishment for imperfect shots. It's usually in quite good condition compared to its siblings. Scratch players will break par but high handicappers can still find them self in fairway and green side bunkers or in the creek that winds down the right side of many fairways. The homes that boarder the course are set back far enough unless you like hitting snap hooks. Greens run at about 8 usually but have enough slope to make you think. Give it a try but remember the green fees are one tenth of the more expensive Scottsdale courses so don't be expecting a similar experience.
Don't play on Saturdays
Starter started me off as soon as I arrived about 20 minutes before tee time and told me to go ahead alone. By the second hole I caught the first group of 5. On the third hole they let me play through where I caught another fivesome. After anotherr hole they let me skip ahead of them. I checked the next six holes ahead and all were fivesomes! After about two hours and 6 holes I went in.
Horrible
Course conditions and grass are in poor ratings. Unfriendly staff to younger people. Grumpy old men. Boring layout, absolutely no challenging hazards or play. Obviously won't play here again. Don't waste your money.
Best on the west side
Great course, everything is in great shape. The maintenance crew takes pride in their work and it shows. Lots of variety and challenging. Stay out of the creek and you'll have a great round. Best course of all the Sun city courses. Well worth the investment you'll spend here.
Well run
Very well run course. There is a par 60 and a par 72 here. I've played both and they were in good condition which is very hard in the Arizona desert in the summer time.
Rude!!!
Course was fine but the people who work there, not so much…. Rude is the best word to describe them. I don’t know that I’ll be going back anytime soon. They could use some “new blood” around here. Customer service isn’t in their vocabulary here…..
greens are a challange
awsome course first time playing and will look forward to play again
Refreshment Cart
Only thing missing was the refreshment (beer) cart. Other then that this course is very nice. Will play there many more times in the future.
2 Courses Here
Another nice to play course in Sun City. There are actually 2 courses here, we played Willowcreek and found it to be in great shape. I'm sure Willowbrook is in the same shape! Typical of other Sun City courses, a nice layout and not real difficult to score. Great pace for us - 3:45hrs.
