Palmbrook Golf Club

The course ran out of carts and we had to wait until just before our tee time to get one. But, at least we got one on time. The course itself is in average shape at best. Most of the fairways while green are extremely thin layer of grass. Some of the greens are severely sloped. Couple that with hard packed thin greens nearly all of which are mounded and you will have trouble keeping the ball on the green. Putting was interesting to say the least. One of our group is a plus handicap (he shoots under par for those that don't know what this means) and even he had trouble trying to putt. But, the absolute topper was the 5 hour round. Please fix the greens. I am sure that this is why the course plays so slow. High handicappers struggle as it is, and the greens condition just makes it worse. We watched the groups ahead of us 3,4 and 5 putt.

We enjoyed our first time playing here. Although an older course, it is in very good condition. The fairways and greens are all consistent. Lots of water on the second nine. Plan to play it again soon.

Greens and Fairways were in good shape and the course layout was ok- watch out for the trees and the rough!

Very much enjoyed the course. Fairways and greens were excellent. Some tees better than others. Typical of the mid range clubs, the areas off the fairways are not great. Nice range. Styrofoam cups and ice water available. Overall good experience.

Course was in pretty good condition. Some of the green were bumpy and need a little work.

Front nine was about right for pace of play. Back nine was SLOW! Waited 5-10 minutes for every tee shot. Never had a Marshall show up throughout the round. That needs to improve.

I liked the course, so I’ll be back when the price is right.

Great couse for average player. Big wide fairways good tee boxes and good greens. Greens were a little bumpy but good for a hard played public course.

If you want to be transported back to bushwood country club and catch a glimpse of judge smales, this is your course! The clubhouse is dated but I LOVED it! Bar room was good and the bartender was very attentive to us. Drink prices weren't too bad either. The only issue we had was that we saw the bev cat only once and she blew right by us.

Don't pay $100+ a round, play palmbrook for about half that and you will enjoy your day!

The price the Phoenix courses charge is obscene! The condition of the golf course was poor - on a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 2, and that is being generous. The greens speed was 7+ and the ball did not roll true. There is no rough - just dirt and weeds. The pro shop employee who checked us in was curt (not his name) and totally disinterested.

To the point. This course is charging a green fee for the course it hopes to be, not what it is today.

Tee boxes so hard we needed a drill. Sand trap liners that were blowing in the wind. Greens hard as a rock.

Disappointed.
