About
The golf course at the Palmbrook Golf Club (formerly known as Palmbrook Country Club) has a reputation for being immaculately well kept. The course's greens and fairways are consistently kept in excellent condition making the course enjoyable to play. In addition to the spotless maintenance, the course at the Palmbrook Golf Club has a challenging design that incorporates water hazards in the form of a meandering brook and six lakes on the back nine. The challenging greens are fast and hard to read. There are also several bunkers that can affect play. Four sets of teeboxes provide different options.

PJ saved the day
Course looked great, driving range is nice but the pace of play was horrendous. Luckily my buddy and I ran into PJ who works here. PJ is amazing and sparked great conversation with us and lifted the overall moral. It would be nice to have some water to drink around the course and some ball cleaners.
Overall it was fun, PJ definitely saved the day here. Otherwise I'm not sure I would've returned.

Nice course!
Nice little gem in west Phoenix. Just coming out of overseeding, so this will get better as we go along. Nice layout, similar to other courses in the area, good condition, played quick, the pro shop/personnel friendly and attentive, and as evidence of the over-packed parking lot when we left…..the secret is out.

The only negative is that there are no ball washers on the course. Normally in Phoenix it's not an issue, but since we had rain the day before the balls picked up some mud throughout the round.

Course is in amazing condition!
I booked this the night before and granted it was one of the one ones available so I was ok paying a little more for a sun city course. I normally think Palmbrook isn’t worth the extra money they charge over other sun city’s, but they just overseeded and everything was in amazing condition. I somehow played alone and they started me on the back so pace of play was great, front desk staff was super friendly and nice, they finally have bev cart girls again so that was awesome and I was thoroughly impressed with the course conditions! Absolutely recommend playing Palmbrook right now for anyone who’s deciding

Friendly staff
Pace of play was slower than normal. Greens are ruff in some spots-some greens have a lot of ball marks that were never fixed. Fairways good shape. .Still course is fun to play

Nice course, good value
Enjoyed playing this course. The only negatives were cart path only and shaggy slow greens. Both of these were due to just having overseeding done. Would love to play the course again with faster, smoother greens.

Loved my round!
The staff here were awesome!! Can’t thank them enough for being accommodating and helping me out, and finding my lost headphones and calling me to let me know without them even being labelled with my name! They are so kind and friendly, and play the course was just as good for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my round, nice layout, nice and relaxed, and nice carts. Would recommend highly!!

Palmbrook is a nice, fun, relaxing course to spend a morning or afternoon. It has great conditions, is well managed and maintained. I think it is one of the few places left that locals can enjoy and meet new people and old friends.

First Time
My friend and i paid $52 to play with tax. While waiting to check in another player asked the pro shop employee if they gave them the discount and he said yes. We were not members so no discount for us because of the bad condition of the course which I thought was pretty unfair. We don't think we will come back to play here even when the course is in great shape as that's no way to treat a first time player at this course. Even if you're not a member we shouldn't have paid top dollar to play with the course in such a terrible condition.

Decent Value
This is an old school 70s country club,which is kinda fun.
It was a few days before overseed,thus not fair to judge course condition.
Excuses, excuses...take note of Westbrook Village Lakes course. No matter what time of year it is always in excellent shape, not just for members and the snowbirds but for all of us natives and others who live here year round.
That seems to be the excuse for a lot of these golf courses in this area. Let me give you a tip. Westbrook Village Lakes course is ALWAYS in excellent shape no matter what time of year it is. Maybe some of these courses including Palmbrook should take a lesson from them instead of worrying about making the course in good shape when the snowbirds are here and for the members only.
