Sun City Country Club
About
The golf course at the Sun City Country Club provides a challenging championship course in an elegant setting. The semi-private course has a tight layout with fairways that are lined with trees and bushes. The trees provide plenty of shade, a welcome asset on sunny days. The greens play at medium speed and they are consistently in good condition. Several of the greens are elevated and sloped. A water hazard comes into play on three holes on the course. The seventh, a 153-yard, par-3, hole is the signature hole. It requires a tee shot over water that has to carry at least 125 yards. The upscale Sun City Country Club offers fine dining options as well as an experienced and helpful on-site golf pro.

Course in great shape.
We had a great day of golf and the course is great for average golfer. Playable and reasonably priced for Arizona golf.
Course in good shape. Greens are fast. Pace was good and enjoyed the day.
Tree oasis in the desert
I always like this course. Fun with a little challenge and if you mush it a shot is isn’t death. Fairways were super muddy today. That comes with overseed sometimes… there wasn’t much grass though. If you’re a sub 3 it’ll never affect you. For those of us in the 5-20 range it just meant lots of fat shots. The greens were flying especially on the downhill and in 7/10 condition
Greens are more suited to a goofy golf course.
Our tee time was after an "Outing" the course was having. We had no idea that this was scheduled before us. We had to wait for the carts to come in to get one. The carts came in after our tee time, but we did get out. The pace started off very slowly, then as we progressed it suddenly sped up. I guess the slower players finally finished the outing and got out of the way. The fairways are a bit clumpy in spots, but most areas did have grass. We did notice a lot of dead trees lining the course. There was an abundance of sand in the sand trap. It was like being on a beach it was so deep. If you landed directly in the sand you were rewarded with a buried lie. The greens however, were terrible. If you landed your shot on the green anywhere it ran all the way through. They were hard and fast. The greens need to be level out as they are sloped steeply, ridiculously so. If you are on the wrong side of the slope hitting a 3 inch putt will roll 12 feet. The greens are more suited to a goofy golf course then a real golf course. They charge $8 for a small bucket of balls for the range. Like their greens this seems a bit too steep. The range of course was chewed up as the outing most likely hacked it to pieces prior to us getting there.
greens hard as rocks. faurways Skippy on grass. approach to green spotty at best.
Good muni not cc level
Fairways were good but a little wet. Over watering. Rough is mostly clover. Excellent practice grounds including a practice sand trap. Staff very friendly especially beer and snack cart happily bringing hot food from club restaurant out to you on the course
Average
Course was in decent condition, overall ok course.
