Sun City Country Club
About
The golf course at the Sun City Country Club provides a challenging championship course in an elegant setting. The semi-private course has a tight layout with fairways that are lined with trees and bushes. The trees provide plenty of shade, a welcome asset on sunny days. The greens play at medium speed and they are consistently in good condition. Several of the greens are elevated and sloped. A water hazard comes into play on three holes on the course. The seventh, a 153-yard, par-3, hole is the signature hole. It requires a tee shot over water that has to carry at least 125 yards. The upscale Sun City Country Club offers fine dining options as well as an experienced and helpful on-site golf pro.

Golfer Reviews
Oldie with Character
The fairways are growing in nicely after aeration. The greens are also in decent shape after aeration. Lots of large trees to test your methods for hitting around them.
This is an old course with a lot of character. Trees traps water but pretty flat .
The staff is friendly and the beer is cold .
I enjoy playing here .
Terrible fairways
The front nine Fairways were so bad we could not find grass to hit our shots.
They should only be charging about $10 to play 18 holes
Dry and just aerated
Greens were nice, but the fairways and first cut were just aerated and dry. The lies were thin and bare in spots, throw some water on it and it should fill back in.
Greens in good shape fairways are in process of growing back in watering taking place in fairways during round great layout give it a couple more weeks to have grass grow back on fairways
Mature course
Sun City CC is an older course . Mature trees throughout and generous fairways. The course had been punched and aerated . This is typical maintenance for the summer season. Regardless I enjoyed this old course and would play again. The staff was great and the beer at the bar was cold . Can’t beat the price.
Chewed up and spit out
Fairways were patchy at best. Greens were terrible having just been punched making putting a gamble. Layout is nice with cart paths running the entire course. Front desk guy acted like he wished he was anywhere else.
Bit of a goat track
Definitely not worth the money. Fairways are very patchy with lots of dry dirt spots that punish a good drive.
Greens have been aerated, are bumpy, slow and also patchy.
Sand traps are hard sand and need to be sifted.
Can't recommend this course under the current state
Greens need another week or 2 to heal
The greens were recently aerated. Other than that, no complaints This time of year has very light pressure after about 11 am due to Phoenix heat, but that’s everywhere. The course has narrower fairways than most other Sun City courses. Errant drives are difficult to recover from. The greens have a lot of breaks too.
Not worth the money.
They have aerated the Greens and don't cut them very short. Very slow and bumpy.
Fairways are not in good shape with lots of bare spots, they need to water it more.
Bunkers are hard and needed to be turned over to loosen the sand.
I would stay away from this course until they start improving their maintenance.
Goat track!!
