Riverview Golf Course

Challenging course in great shape with fast greens.

Among the Sun City courses, Riverview is definitely my favorite. The course is in excellent shape. Play last Sunday morning was surprisingly brisk. Beware of the greens however. The are exceedingly fast. Took me six holes to get it right, but it is a fun challenge in what is otherwise a pretty easy course

very disappointed. Played this course a couple of years ago. Course is in rough shape. about one third of the greens have a fungus or something causing bare dirt bald spots. You either put from grass to dirt to grass or move your ball to where you have all grass to the hole. Fairways are also rough with bare dirt spots. Tee boxes are not kept well. I can tell they just don't care anymore. When I got there, it was a hot day, only 10 cars (including employees) in the parking lot. About 20-30 carts lined up for use. Went in to check in, was told I had to ride with a stranger. What?? I told them it was really hot outside, would like my own cart so I could play faster in the heat. Was told, sorry, board policy. I can see that when the weather is fine, alot of players. But only a handful of players on the course, all these carts sitting, and you get stuck with someone else?? They obviously do not care about the golf experience of their customers. It shows in that type of policy, the condition of the course, and the fact hardly anyone was playing there. Save your money and go to a place that cares. Riverview does not.

Overall course playing nice tee to greens. Haven’t been there for awhile very pleasant day on course. Greens were pretty fast! The only negative for was the bunkers need little more sand. Unfortunately one of days hit more bunkers than greens😂

We typically catch the last tee time of the day, because we work at a nearby business until 5 pm. When I spoke to the staff it seemed like they only wanted to tell me why I couldn't make the tee time. We just used Golf Now to pay now so that we wouldn't have to rely on the clubhouse for anything.

Excellent course conditions. New golf carts. Even played following week because it was so enjoyable

The grass on the course is in nice shape, tee to green. Greens rolled nicely. Pace was great since not many on the course at noon in summer heat. Bunkers look great and have nice sand, but wet under top layer so using bounce on sand wedge didn’t work, should just chip out. They need to rake and fluff up bunkers and they would be good. Overall, in great shape and friendly staff in pro shop.

It was blistering hot but finished and enjoyed the well taken care of facility.

I play Riverview a lot so I know once the greens recover from aeration the course will be in great shape. Still it is no fun trying to put on a waffle so give it a week before you book your tee time. The other issue I had was the pace of play was slowed down due to a fivesome two groups ahead. I know Sun City courses allow fivesomes but on this day there was a coarse ranger patrolling the course who let this fivesome fall two holes behind by the time we played the 11 hole. This group was followed by two threesomes so the ranger should have told the fivesome to speed up or to let the threesomes play through.

Greens were in rough shape, got stuck behind a 5 some and ranger wouldn’t do anything to speed up play or have us play through.

Good public course. Greens can be tough to read at times, but the run nice.

The guy in the pro shop checking us in was the most unprofessional, condescending person I’ve ever encountered. I’ve been to way nicer courses and have never been spoken to the way he spoke to us. Little guy was on a power trip even though he has the same amount of power as my pinky toe. Go to any of the other 12 golf courses around this one to avoid spending your money here and having to deal with this guy.
