About
The 18-hole West Course at Sun City Lakes Golf Club is a private course with a traditional layout. The course is quite open and features a few interesting challenges. It is relatively flat, making it nice to walk although carts are available. More advanced players that mostly hit straight balls may not find the course challenging enough, but it is quite enjoyable for beginners and intermediate players. Notable holes on the course are the 3rd, 9th, and 18th since they can be played a few different ways. The Lakes West Golf Course facility, in addition to the course, has practice facilities including a putting green, chipping area, and driving range.

Had a good round.
First time playing here. Had a good time. Need to watch out for a few fairways which have water going across them. Greens ran a bit fast, but putted fairly true.
Insufficient carts
The course only had 10 available golf carts to rent and all of them were taken. This is not acceptable.
Course is in great shape....
but it could use a few more power carts. Having only 10 carts available for rental just seems pathetic. Most courses throughout the country look at cart rental sales as an essential revenue stream. I understand a lot of Sun City residents own there own carts but adding 3 to 5 carts would eliminate delayed reserved tee times due to lack of carts.....
Course is in good shape
The course is in good condition from tee to green. The grass is doing well after the overseed. The greens are rolling at a nice pace and are nice and smooth. It was cart path only, but as much as I hate cart path only I walked anyway so it didn’t matter. Weather could not have been better, low 70s, sunny and calm wind. Today was why we live in Arizona.
Need to rethink cart path only...
The course is in great shape post overseed, but the strict cart path only rules are draconian and slow up play horribly. The rough was not over seeded so let carts drive on it.....
Not an overall pleasant experience!
Disorganized, no snack bar, restrooms locked, slow play. Just not comfortable!

Always have a great time on this course. Sometimes I play well and sometimes it eats my lunch
Excellent Greens
Course is in great shape but the greens were in perfect shape(sand traps were not as fluffy as they usually are). Had to wait on threesome for the first nine holes but they let us play through on second nine which sped up our play. Three and a half hour round which could have been three if they would have let us play through earlier in the round. Weather was great in the 80’s throughout our round.
Plays Fair
Nic city course, friendly people - hopefully honest too as I lost my Voice Caddy range finder and nobody turned it in, pretty disappointed as most golfers I thought were pretty honest about those things.
Great Summer Value
The course was in excellent condition overall. I would recommend and will definitely book there again.

Little warm at 108 but if you bring plenty of fluids you will be fine. Had a great time, played in a little over 3 hours.

Slow play
When you put 5 old guys together things move really really slow left after 11 holes don’t waste your time
