About
The 18-hole West Course at Sun City Lakes Golf Club is a private course with a traditional layout. The course is quite open and features a few interesting challenges. It is relatively flat, making it nice to walk although carts are available. More advanced players that mostly hit straight balls may not find the course challenging enough, but it is quite enjoyable for beginners and intermediate players. Notable holes on the course are the 3rd, 9th, and 18th since they can be played a few different ways. The Lakes West Golf Course facility, in addition to the course, has practice facilities including a putting green, chipping area, and driving range.

little warm but comfortable , 2 of us played in 3 hours, no waiting. course in great shape.
Slow play
When you put 5 old guys together things move really really slow left after 11 holes don’t waste your time
Pretty Decent Course but Poor Management
Fairways and Tee boxes were pretty good. Pretty wide fairways. Greens were really really dry. Overall it wasn't too bad.
However, they don't seem to pay attention to GolfNow. I booked my tee time but when I showed up they had no carts. NONE. I ended up walking. But they had so many groups I saw with 5 or 6 golf carts, had several people not playing in these groups. I get covid 19 affects stuff but no reason to let non golfers take carts.

Watch out
There are quite the hidden fees. After paying the golf now fees, a $20 round came to $25, ok, good deal, right? Then if you want a cart, price doubles. So, if you need a cart because of health, you are now paying $52+. Way overpriced! For cart. Also very limited number of golf carts available, cannot reserve one, can only get one first come first serve, no guarantees. We happened to get the last 2 carts for the day. $25/cart!
Played the East
Booked the West course but was too backed up with early afternoon over. East is an exec. Course so only good for practice.
Great Shape
Course in great shape tee to green. Friendly club house. Note: if booking hot deal in remarks it is the walking rate. Course charges $12 per person for a cart.
Course Conditions
Tee boxes where in good condition, Fairways where nice but the Greens where slow & somewhat bumpy. Kinda disappointed with the Greens as it is PRIME TIME season and Rates are high. I won't play again until summer time when rates go down for this course.
decent course for budget level
Solid value. nice tees and fairways. Greens smooth and rolled well. Not a great layout but nice for a Sun City course

Customer service in the club house was way below par.
The course was over booked with T times within 1 minute of each other (unheard of).
The course was in nice shape overall and the congestion was ok after the 9 hole, after a few people quite at the ninth.
