Trail Ridge Golf Course at Sun City West

this was our first time here. everything was in good shape. greens trimmed down to where approach shots could not hold. fairways a bit thick; didn't allow for much roll. overall a great day-we will be back.

We enjoyed the course very much, it was in great shape

Arrived at course and found staff friendly. Was paired with another player and within 5 minutes we were at our first tee. Course fairways and rough in very nice shape. The traps had soft sand and the greens were fast and undilating. Would advise to get a cooler with ice and beverages(water, Powerade, Gatorade, etc). Had a great time and would recommend this course for it's condition, staff friendlyness, value.

Very pleased with the first time playing here. Staff was very friendly. Tee boxes and fairways were very good. Grass was thick. Greens also good, held shots reasonably well and putted true. A little slow but expected that this time of year. Snack was open after
4pm which is not always true. Good variation of holes and challenging but will not beat you up. Glad I played and will play again.

OK, everybody knows Sun City West is hard to get to, takes forever and isn't scenic. I still think Trail Ridge is a most enjoyable golf course, and I'll keep looking for the northwest passage to make getting there tolerable.

Why? Billy Casper. Really nice greens. Interesting holes that don't leave you feeling beaten with a 2 by 4. But you can lose a ball there and be in jail. It's all a matter of taste, but I like to feel like if I play well I can score well, and I do at this course. The clubhouse has "muni" written all over it so if it's chic you want go elsewhere. Decent driving range and near-empty parking lot because most patrons drive their golf carts over. But remember: it's about the golf course, and golf is golf. Leave your comfort zone. Take a chance.

I enjoyed my first visit. Looking forward to playing other Sun City courses.

Good all around golf course. Fairways were in great conditions as were the greens. Ball was rolling nice on greens.

A very pleasant afternoon. Staff very friendly. Course in great condition. Pace of play was acceptable. Greens held and putted true. Kudos to Greenskeeper.

Tight fairways, play held up at all par 3's, Quite a bit of hidden trouble with no course legend to help you. Large greens were in better then average condition.

Course is in nice shape. Greens are hard, but that seems to be the norm for most courses in the area. Fairways are well kept, but sand traps have very little sand. All in all a great value.

Sand traps were very thin, hardly any sand at all, a lot maintenance roads parrallel the course and end up coming into play because fairways "fall off " toward the boundaries. Water not marked or noted on scorecards.

The course was in good condition and was a great price fo 18 holes

Pace of play was slow and no marshalls. Greens as hard as concrete.

Played at 1:30pm. Course was in great condition for being late September. Hot deal for $9, could not go wrong. $2 range balls for medium size bucket was a bargain as well.

As a beginner to golf, this course provided me with enough of a challenge to appreciate the use of my clubs that the driving range doesn't afford me in a hole by hole basis. The fairways were generous, the greens fast, and provided me with just enough of a challenge to want to go back and play again and again.

The course was in excellent condition and the greens were fast. Fairways are a little narrow so you use all the clubs in the bag.

This course is maintained in above average condition for sumer time play. The layout provides a good mix of average to fairly difficult challenges. Overall, a fair links type course that winds through the Sun City West community. Good value for the money on the Northwest side. On par with Corte Bella. Appears they offer only one tee time on GolfNow per day. I was told they like to keep all the GolfNow customers together.

The greens are short and fast. The fairways are in good shape. Fun course you wont be disappointed.

Course was in excellent condition considering the heat this time of year. A few dryed out spots, but overall excellent. Challenging, but fair layout, greens rolled true and fairly quick. Would definitely come back and play this course again next time I visit this area.

Aside from the staff either hating their job or a bad day the course was great, a little pricey but it will come down in the summer and be worth it. Played from the tips, boxes were excellent. Sand/desert played very hard, but normal for AZ, enjoyed the course!
