Located in the metropolitan Phoenix area, the affordably priced Ken McDonald Golf Course is a championship-length course that is suitable for any level of golfer. The flat terrain of the course makes for an enjoyable stroll, while the water hazards that come into play on eight holes provide plenty of challenge. The water hazards are provided by the Western Canal, which flows directly through the golf course. The par-5 11th hole is the longest on the course at 570 yards; it is very difficult to reach in two shots. In addition to the course, Ken McDonald Golf Course offers several other amenities including a restaurant, club fitting and repairs, and professional golf instruction.

Great value!
Fairways have a lot of dead spots but we simply took relief as "ground in repair." Greens were absolutely exceptional!
Pace was great, if anything we were the slow group. I'm looking forward to going back!
Nice courae
The fairways were a little rough due to aeration, but overall the course was not too bad.
No good at all.
Most of the fairways were burnt and had no grass at all. You were hitting off the dirt. Course layout is good, but course conditions were horrible. They played on a Saturday morning, but playing in five hours is not something that you should ever have to do.
Pleased
I looked forward to meeting Mike because of all the positive reviews, & then there was Lexi who drove the refreshment cart who supported me by purchasing a signed copy of my self-published memoir. I definitely look forward to going back
Disappointed
Made a tee time for 4 of us and was notified on the way to the course that one player had injured their wrist and was unable to play. I let them know at the pro shop and there didn't seem to be an issue. It was a hot day in the middle of the week and there were few players following us out so it's unlikely that they turned anyone away on account of us. Regardless, they requested that GOLFNOW collect the 4th green fee. Rather petty considering it was due to an injury and they clearly weren't full. I understand cancellation policies but I also understand forgiveness where it's warranted.

Great course for the price. It’s my home course and pace of play always is terrible being it’s a muni course.

Great course that is pretty straight forward but it does have a few tricks up it's sleeve.
Course played well and the green were very good.
I will play it again.
Fun, Busy little course
It's hard to rate courses against each other. It's apples to oranges most of the time. You want to spend -$60 and get 18 holes with a cart? Good luck. But you can do that here.
It's so popular that the pace of play here is affected. I play poor golf quickly. I wish others had the same etiquette.
The challenge here is the rough conditions, but that's why they call it the "rough." You're not supposed to be over there silly, so don't complain about it.
With some help from the public in maintaining their own ball marks on the greens, they would be much better. They are slower than average, so you're going to leave some short. Adjust.
All in all, I find it fun. If you hit strait, you will have fun. If you are always playing the other fairway, you will still have fun. Just stay out of the rough.

Why so many water leaks? Can't the rough be something other than dirt?
Nice driving range, putting and chipping green.
Friendly staff.
Biggest problem slow players and NO RANGER to get them to move! Front 9 play almost 3 HOURS!!!
