Stripe Show Golf Club

About
The golf course at Stripe Show Golf Club (previously known as Freedom Golf Course) is a walker-friendly and affordable venue for juniors, beginners and experienced golfers in search of a pleasant round. The executive length course has a risk-and-reward layout for an interesting game. This course may be short but there are several challenging elements. Situated on a terrain of rolling hills, golfers can expect uneven lies and elevation changes adding some interesting elements to the course. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are strategically placed sand bunkers present on the course as well. Stripe Show Golf Club is well maintained with plenty of nice, shady areas.

Lots of potential
Come back to this picturesque little course in a year. It is under new ownership and a complete renovation is taking place after years of neglect. Mature trees, nice layout for a small, executive type 9 hole course.
Worth it
Let's be clear, this is not a top end course. But if you need work on your short irons, and have less then 2 hours to play, this is perfect.
I hope the grass comes in. I wish these guys the best
Neat Little Course on the Upswing
This was a nice slow pace course, great for beginners. While the condition of the course wasn't the greatest, it had been closed for quite some time and they are trying to restore.
January
This is a good, short course to work on iron play.
Amazing but needs work.
Amazing tree coverage and the tee boxes are not to bad and they stack broken tees next to the tee box markers so really never used my tees. Course was clean and I’m so excited to see it grow. Greens suck to be honest but considering where they started I can’t complain! They owner is a really nice guy and works the front counter! Over all very nice course and worth the time & money! Would recommend
Fun and challenging
An excellent target golf executive course to practice irons. The staff was super friendly and all tees were very clearly marked. You can tell the owners care about their golfers’ experience. The greens still need work but are better than many executive courses I’ve played. The facilities were very clean. I will come here often as a novice golfer. Loved it!
Irons practice
Course has seen better days but the new ownership is hard at work with renovations. In any case, the course provides an economical choice to work o n the short game.
November golf
This course is a terrific course to work on your irons. The course is in good shape. The greens are deceptively quick.
Fun short course.
No pressure course amazing for irons
This course is amazing and will be so nice very soon. It's a short executive with some fairly challenging holes given its such a small course. It was left to rot for a few years but it's getting a new life and I think it's awesome! Perfect for beginners or anyone who wants to hone their iron game. No holes I could safely hit my driver but so good for planning your route to the hole. The guys that run it are great and its definitely veteran friendly. I highly recommend as long as you're not a snob and understand its a work in progress you'll love it. Plan on playing weekly with my son who's learning.
November g
The course is getting better. The greens are much better than two weeks ago.
Golf course rating
It was in better condition than in past rounds. They still need to add sand to their sand traps. I hit a normal trap shot and hit the hard pack beneath. The fairways were in good shape. Tee boxes were excellent.
My round
This is a good little course. Being it was a dirt lot 10 months ago it is coming around. Some of the older tree tops need to be trimmed. The trees are blocking to much of the fairways, to the point of making some holes unplayable.
No one is pretending this is a nice course
This course is a “work in progress.” It is not too challenging but a couple of holes are tricky. No one pretends that the course is in good shape, and even the golf shop attendant said as much when we checked in. Nonetheless you can get some golf in. I think that it is not a great value compared to twilight rates elsewhere, but if you are looking for 90 minutes of fun in the morning it is acceptable. I might be back but not more than once or twice.
Hidden gem
We loved playing this course so much we played it twice. The new owners are bringing this course back to life. The setting is beautiful with lots of shade and a pretty lake. We’ll definitely be back.
Overall Course
The course is just coming back. It was a dust bowl for years. There were a few bad spots on the greens still. Over all it was a fun course to play. Give it another 8-10 months and it should be in good shape.
