Neighborly but on hole 2 the maintenance guys were cutting grass in the middle of day which is fine but on that hole I could not hit drive shot, hit second shot or putt for birdie without serious interference from outside staff (occurred on hole 2) and I was even par after 1 playing two balls by myself with no in front or behind me(play). I found this experience to be off putting

I’m new to Tempe Arizona and was very excited to play all the courses around the area. After reading some of the reviews about this course I expected to see a rundown train wreck but instead I was pleasantly surprised to see what great course it really is.

The course is full of weeds, dry and the bunkers are terrible.

No starter or ranger. Group ahead was constantly two holes behind and with nor another round took 45 minutes longer than it should have.

Cart had a flat tire. Luckily that was discovered on the first fairway. With no staff present on the course or cart area I had to find a new cart on my own.

How could they have no rangers or starter when they had months to prepare for the takeover?

Prior they had volunteer staff but did not think about keeping them on or replacing them.

Not an impressive start up. Lots of posters talking about exciting things to come but no sign of that so far.

Course is well maintained and one of the cheapest, highly recommend it

The course itself is fine. Nothing to get overly excited about. The facility is aging and needs a refresh. I typically play Dobson Ranch, which has made many upgrades the past few years, and Kenny Mac looks pretty old and behind the times in comparison. Perhaps the new management company will turn things around.

Great time for our group of 8. Teed off at 5 and got 14 holes in at dark. Thx!

First time playing. Fun course. Loved the layout. Greens, bunkers and trees in excellent condition. Fairways the same as I have seen at other courses this time of year. Will definitely play again. Did think some of the ladies tees could be placed a little further forward.

For a course to have zero water options for patrons in Phoenix in June is crazy. Even a water fountain to refill my own bottle would suffice. And since the bar/grill was closed we couldn’t go in there for water options either. We were told we could buy individual Gatorade bottles… you’d need 4-5 to get through the round when it’s 100+ degrees.

For the low $20 price, you can’t expect too much, so the fact that some of the fairways and greens were in rough shape can be expected for a summer round in the desert. The sand traps were crunchy. Not in great shape, but you can take that with a grain of salt considering the cost and time of year
