About
Located in the metropolitan Phoenix area, the affordably priced Ken McDonald Golf Course is a championship-length course that is suitable for any level of golfer. The flat terrain of the course makes for an enjoyable stroll, while the water hazards that come into play on eight holes provide plenty of challenge. The water hazards are provided by the Western Canal, which flows directly through the golf course. The par-5 11th hole is the longest on the course at 570 yards; it is very difficult to reach in two shots. In addition to the course, Ken McDonald Golf Course offers several other amenities including a restaurant, club fitting and repairs, and professional golf instruction.

Cart Path
the course allows only cart path for golf cart which make much harder for the old people to play golf.
if course make only one exception for the people of 70 and older to allow to drive on fairways that makes much easer for them.to enjoy golf
A must play when in the Phoenix area!
Played while still on cart path only after overseeding but that did not take away from our golfing experience. This was our 10th different course during our 2 month stay and I would have to say it is in our top three for challenging and interesting.
Only negative is lack of signage after finishing the 9th hole as to where the 10 tee was….a bit of an adventure! And again, signage telling you after the 16th hole that you go back through the parking lot and back around the clubhouse to 17.
Highly recommend!

Overall good experience
Please reconsider your 'hard and fast' rule about cart path only. The Foothills is a very good example of how this should be done. Cart paths and driving in the rough should be OK, but no crossing over on the fairways.
This really helps to speed up play - and doesn't damage the dead rough!

I have been golfing here since the mid 80's
Overseeding and cart path only are part of the deal.
One of the bar sataff has a interestingly abrasive sense of humor for her poor service!
Prices in the bar are a little steep
Pace of play improved after the Ranger encouraged the folks in front of us to move along and try and catch the group 2 1/2 holes ahead of them! Good job!!
I like the friendliness of the clubhouse staff and starters! Thanks. Also the Cart personnel ore very nice and polite...I owe them a tip...sorry!!
