It was a nice course to play
We enjoyed this course
Played with a local guy that made it a lot of fun
Great course, horrible starter that goes by H
I've played here for three years now. The three, 9 hole courses can be very challenging, especially Desert Hawk. The other two courses pose their own challenges.
Speaking of the horrible starter, he goes by "H" (how fitting). My threesome had a later tee time behind a college tournament. Prior to our tee time, we made our way to the tee box, the starter, "H", was not there and the course was wide open, and no one other group was in sight to tee off. We 3 teed off and were about to hit our second shot. "H" came barreling down the fairway stating we cannot go out now because there's a tournament in front of us. We knew this and it didn't bother us that we would need to wait behind the tournament Well, "H" said we cannot go forward and need to return to the tee box, that and we need to wait for our designated tee time. We reluctantly complied and went back to the tee box. More than 15 minutes passed before 2 foursomes drove up to tee off. These two foursomes were together and long story short, made us wait at every tee box, every fairway, and every green. We even asked to go through and the state, "No, we're playing together". It turns out, neither group caught the tournament and we ended up wasting a good hour plus starting again and waiting behind the 2 foursomes. Luckily at the turn, we were able to play the other 9 holes and finished in about 1.5 hours.
If "H" is your starter, give him some love, he certainly needs it...

Overall, the course layout and condition was above average.
Very enjoyable course
We were pleasantly surprised by how nice this Muni course is and the great shape they keep it in. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
We will be back.
Not the best conditions for our first time
Unfortunately the greens had been aerated and top dressed recently
If anything went in the hole it was more by chance and pure fluke luck than skill today
Would like to play again when the greens are in proper form and condition since I did enjoy the layout of the course. All the staff were awesome and very accommodating and even the members were apologetic for the shape of their greens right now
