About
Located justhalf-hour drive from both Lake Tahoe and Reno, Sunridge Golf Club features monster holes and mammoth lakes. The 669-yards par 5 11th - the longest hole in the scenic High Sierras region and then some - draws your attention as soon as you look at the scorecard. But the 26 acres of water on the golf course will probably provide more challenge and thrills.
There's also a hole with a 300-foot drop from the tee to the fairway (No. 14), a tiny par 3 19th bet-decider hole and a ton of driveable par 4s that almost beg for you to go for it. As a bonus, Sunridge Golf Club's green fees wow many vacationers used to Tahoe pricing.

Golfer Reviews
Fun course which can be played from a number of tees.
Fun course which can be played from a number of tees. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Had a great time at a very reasonable price. Truly a hidden gem.
Mountainside holes you will never forget.
We played on very windy day which added to difficulty. The first 13 holes offer a variety of challenges with long open par 5's and mountainside holes that require you read the course hole recommendation handbook provided. Holes 14-18 are on a steep mountainside and were fun to play once but would not enjoy repeat play. The uniqueness wears off quickly due to the difficulty.
Course had some problem with the greens. Poana grass is hurting the greens.
The course needs some attention. I played this course a year ago and it needs work to bring it up to the condition a year ago.
play only for a rate below 25 bucks
course has been on the decline for the last 6 years, fairways are poor, greens are fair, would not pay full rate price, too many other good courses in the carson valley.
challenging, scenic
Greens were smooth and a great speed, some patchyness on tees and fairways. Bunkers and surrounds could use care.
Lots of fun, beautiful vistas of carson valley and mountains.
if you like playing on dirt in the fairways you should play there

Fun Course!
Good course for all skill levels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Typical of most courses in the Reno / Carson areas, this course needs attention at this time of the year due to the weather.
Otherwise I would recommend this course to others. I was very surprised that they did not offer a more reasonable online discount because there was hardly anyone on the course and the weather was reasonably good. I am sure more people would play this course if more reasonable discounts were offered via Golfnow.
Great course, great value.
Great course for the value. Very friendly and attentive staff. The course has great features, beautiful water holes, and spectacular views. Will definitely play here again.
Back nine was very tough. Hit the ball straight and long
I will play it again sometime when it is a little cooler.
Affordable golf but bad architecture
Very affordable round of golf. There was a nice par 3 over water that was a memorable hole. This is a failed attempt at golf course architecture. The holes are oddly shaped and water features are forced along certain holes. The greens were in good shape and overall course maintenance was fine for the price. This course needs a complete remodel.
Interesting layout; terrible condition.
Lots of rolling terrain, unfortunately in miserable condition. Fairways and greens both need lots of attention. Has the potential of being an interesting test of golf--- just not in its present state.
Interesting, challenging layout from the White Tees (124?slope)
For the record, I'm an average recreational golfer , 14 handicap. The old adage, "No free lunch" applies here. The track is interesting and demands you plan your drives and your approaches to most greens. Club selection matters. Had the tee boxes, fairways, and greens been in better condition this would have been a superb value. However, it appears the green fees , about one third that of nearby competition, reflected the fair- to -average condition on most holes. Too bad. My buddies and I would love to come back and play this course when it's in better shape.
This course has some really fun holes, that are very challenging. The greens are the best feature, lots of undulations and big breaking puts.
I Liked the experience, I would recommend this golf course as one to play just for the fun of it. It has some very difficult holes, some that are hard to get to. The views from the tees are spectacular. The greens are rally fun, hard but I like difficult challenges. They have to keep the speed of the greens lower than 9 on the stimp because of the contour of them. The pro made that statement to me before I started, and after I played I believe he was right on. For some amateurs they should take lots of Balls, there is water on 80 percent of the holes.
Thanks
great fun course, we play every year after labor day
The weather tore up the fairways a lot of wind and little snow..They discounted the green fees. still good fun course
course needs attention
needs better landscaper crew..i was hoping by late august it would be in good shape. not the case..dont think i will be back anytime soon. poor greens all summer..never improved.fairways too i played there 5 times thru the summer and the course never improved at all..needs attention
