About
Located justhalf-hour drive from both Lake Tahoe and Reno, Sunridge Golf Club features monster holes and mammoth lakes. The 669-yards par 5 11th - the longest hole in the scenic High Sierras region and then some - draws your attention as soon as you look at the scorecard. But the 26 acres of water on the golf course will probably provide more challenge and thrills.
There's also a hole with a 300-foot drop from the tee to the fairway (No. 14), a tiny par 3 19th bet-decider hole and a ton of driveable par 4s that almost beg for you to go for it. As a bonus, Sunridge Golf Club's green fees wow many vacationers used to Tahoe pricing.

Golfer Reviews
A tale of 2 halves
Front 9 great, but back 9 a bit of a carnival. Back 9 goes up into the hills, with several holes with huge drops to cross fairways, two par 3s with either tiny, highly sloped greens or massive drops. Creative use of landscape, but too much. Also tee boxes in poor condition.
Fix the sand traps for a 5
Fun, tight, well maintained course that uses the elevation available very effectively. My only complaint is the sand traps: most of the bunkers were overgrown with grass and mowed to rough. The bunkers that had sand was so coarse as to almost be gravel.
Wonderful Views
Cannot beat views of surrounding area there are dramatic elevation changes. The tee boxes need some attention, but overall great condition. #16 lost ball middle of fairway. Enjoyed my round.
Great course thru 13
Great course until the 14th when you leave the valley floor for the Rocky Mountain Goat course. Three holes in a row that demand pinpoint accuracy in steep canyons that nearly always have wind. Not user friendly for the majority of players.
Wonderful Sunridge Golf
It’s a one of a kind course! Friendly staff, has lots of beverage options, and food. If you are looking for lessons you can ask for Dan Golf Pro.
It’s a beautiful course with a fun back 9!!
Nice views
The views are pretty and the course is challenging, but it does lack some things other courses have. I will definitely play again, but will know some things going in, that I didn’t know. Number one, make sure you have plenty to drink, because there is no water or anywhere to get something to drink while you’re on the course. This particular day took 6 hrs to play 18, due to a group that slowed up play for everyone else. Overall it was a nice course and the staff was friendly.
Great challenge, last 4 holes were very strange ,but challenging
Fun Course
Fun course. The last five holes were AMAZING. Huge elevation change up after #13. It was fun trying to figure out what to hit from the elevated tees. I had a couple of beers at the bar after the round. Played by myself. Would love to play again now that I would know what I was doing. Attached picture is one of the last five holes
