East at Eagle Valley Golf Course

About
The East Course is one of two championship courses at Eagle Valley Golf Course. Although it is less challenging than the West Course, it offers the same quality and entertainment. Golfers who aren't ready to take on the West will feel comfortable on the East. Situated at the base of the Eastern Sierra in the heart of the Silver Country, the golf course offers scenic views that complement the rustic setting. The layout is wide open, making it ideal for beginning to intermediate players. There are some long holes and a few bunkers but it is a forgiving course that is great for a casual round.

Wide open fun round on the east course
Cool course set up, great range ,friendly staff . Highly recommend playing this course
great time
We played the course yesterday. It was a little wet in places, they are watering a lot to try to keep the grass alive during this heat.
Pace of play was perfect, played in 4 hrs 8 minutes. We had a cart.
Greens were very good, rough was thick, stay in the fairway, LOL.
All in all, a very good day.
Practice facility
Fun, wide open, too much standing water and mud. Sand is terrible.
Good for getting swings in
Eagle Valley Winds
Noted that the overwatering in some areas created unfair fairway conditions. Drainage is an issue in some cases just in front of the greens makes it difficult to run the ball up to the green in very windy conditions.
Side note we did watch a coyote catch a rabbit and eat it along side the No. 2 fairway. The Magpies also enjoyed stealing some of the meat from the coyote.
Great Course for beginners or to start the season
Low cost course with excellent service. The course itself was kind of wet and smell partially like sewage. Beside that for $20 a person tee time for 9-holes twilight and very small amount of people in front or behind it’s a great practice/beginners/low budget option. We definitely recommend this course to start and play at your own pace.
Pace of play
We were a foursome with one woman the foursome behind us were continually hitting into us. We had to be respectful of the foursome in front of us. No Marshall policing play My only complaint made my Foursome nervous and mant tone we just picked up snd moved to next hole
early season Eagle
I have played the course many times and for early season it was in good shape. I think the management needs to put in some time to repair some of the fairways and fix the drainage. I see Duncan Golf is managing many courses and this seems to be the one that needs some significant attentionl
Nice track to practice your game
Very nice wide open course, where you can work on your game. Very few holes to get into trouble and lose your golf balls. I played 18 holes with the same ball. Think that is a first :)).
You can hit driver on every par 4 without much risk. Par 3's are decent and have some length on a couple of them.
Excellent Day
The day was beautiful and the course was in good condition. We were very pleased with the help we got from the time we checked in to the completion of our round.
Bar service
The course had a tournament Sunday and only had 1 person in the bar to take orders and serve a hundred people. Had to wait way too long just for a hot dog and drinks on the turn.
Flat, open, hard to lose balls.
Eagle Valley East is great for a spring tune up round. There are very few water hazards and the layout is fairly flat and wide open, making it fairly easy to keep your ball in play.
Unfortunately they still haven't done any work on correcting the horrific cart paths and several holes still have large ditches from water runoff. The sand (gravel) traps will completely ruin your sand wedge as they're filled with rocks and over watered making them very hard.
