East at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The East Course is one of two championship courses at Eagle Valley Golf Course. Although it is less challenging than the West Course, it offers the same quality and entertainment. Golfers who aren't ready to take on the West will feel comfortable on the East. Situated at the base of the Eastern Sierra in the heart of the Silver Country, the golf course offers scenic views that complement the rustic setting. The layout is wide open, making it ideal for beginning to intermediate players. There are some long holes and a few bunkers but it is a forgiving course that is great for a casual round.

Horrible experience
I’ll start this review by saying I have played this course well over 10 times and love Duncan Golf owned courses. However after today’s round I doubt I will ever be back. There has never been a marshal at this course so the rounds are always extremely slow, but that’s never been a huge issue. Today I waited 5 minutes in between every shot, at one point 3 groups were all waiting ON A PAR 5 at the same time. One group was unbelievably slow, hitting five 10 yard shots down a fairway, refusing to pick up their ball to maintain pace of play. At one point they started instructing their friend on how to hit a wedge, during the round, and the guy hit 5 or 6 shots from the same spot for practice (while my group and the group behind were waiting on the tee box). Additionally Eagle Valley decided to allow a “fraternity golf tournament” to occur today. They allowed (what I counted) was four different groups of 8 people playing together. They were playing loud music, screaming in everyone’s backswings, riding ON TOP of the golf carts, and throwing their clubs all over the course. No one in the golf shop did anything. I only paid $40 for the round and feel unbelievably ripped off. I won’t be back until they figure out how to run a golf course and enforce proper pace of play and etiquette.
Love this course
Been playing here for a couple years. Good layout, greens slow but in great condition. A couple dry and wet spots throughout the course, but overall quite good. Started at 1130 and round took 4 hours with only a few hold ups on the last 4 holes. Highly recommend for the price point
Great value, EZ course
My wife loves this course, the only one where she's broken 100. Probably not challenging enough for lower handicapped players, but there's the WEST course for that. I like this course too!,
Plush fairways and smooth greens
Great value plus course is in great shape. Way better than any muni course in the Sac valley. No comparison. Played on Friday in less than 3.5 hours.
Nice Course for Relaxing Round
The course conditions were generally pretty good. Though we played in the afternoon, many greens were still wet and spongy. It's a great course for a relaxing round. Not very challenging. Wide open fairways.
East
Have played the course many times in past. Course conditions are deteriorating due to lack of care. Drainage/irrigation problems are evident in several areas and fairways are bad in some areas. Work is needed.
Eagle Valley Winds
Very windy, so made some of the holes extremely long. Course fairways are getting better - earlier in the season to much water on course and some areas were very muddy, so these areas dried out.
Fun course
It’s was a fun course to play. They are way over watering so standing water everywhere. Besides that it was in pretty good condition.
Great Staff
The staff are very friendly, from the pro shop, bartenders, and the Marshall. Course is in good shape as well.
Beautiful Day
Course was in great shape, although there was some standing water. Pace of play was excellent.
They're trying
A lot of broken pipes make areas very slushy and muddy. Greens are holding up well even with the high temperatures. Overall, still my home course.
This course was a dump!!
Water in every sand trap! Mud & standing water everywhere! Restrooms not good and lack of them! Driving range was a sand pit! My husband got his 1st hole in one & management boss could care less!!
