Over sale tee times ,marshals doesn’t do the job and speed up the game ,5 hrs to finish short course
So slow ,a lot or Asian ladies ,playing 4’s And super slow ,not worth to play after 3 pm ,will not finish ,they pick up the pins at 6::30 so pricey for course conditions and slow game
Could be better
Los Lagos is a suitable muni with decent tees and challenging greens. The short layout should be fun but the pace of play drags the whole experience down. Played here several times and 5 hour rounds for a par 68 are common.
Desperate need of Marshaling
In desperate need of marshals - screaming drunks on course- smoking pot taking 15 shots to play a hole almost 530 hrs to play round - won’t be back soon
Rude staff and dangerous conditions
Start the day off with a rude interaction with the staff and it only went down hill from there. The greens were punched and sanded. I politely asked if there was a reduced fee and the gentle man said, “No it’s full price, you don’t have to play.” Wow, that was a quick escalation.
I was out walking. There is no water out on the course on a near 90 degree day. I packed two bottles and they were gone. I had to call the round early as I was in danger of collapsing on 15. I bee lined to the cafe to grab some Gatorades as I was seeing spots. The girl there ignores me for a few minutes as she is texting on her phone.
I went back to air my concern with the same cashier. I said, “sir there’s no water out there.” He cut me off as I was speaking and said, “Oh you had to come back in.” (Clearly I’m not the first). He said they can’t have water dispensers or ball washers due to Covid. Although the science is clear that high touch surfaces pose an extremely tiny risk of transmission. I asked him why rakes were now in the bunkers and there was no sign to not touch the flag stick? He just stared at me blindly and I walked off.
Covid is serious and a lot of people have sadly been impacted. But, some businesses are clearly using it as a way to save a few dollars. Simply, put I will not be back here. The city of SJ needs to get its act together on this course. The risk of heat stroke to someone walking the course is much higher than Covid on a water bottle.
Course is nice, but staff is HORRIBLE. Do not go here
The course is nice and I actually enjoyed it a lot. But the staff is bad enough for me to not come back. The cashier right from the get go was rude. Started the day poorly. Then at 7:55pm with 40 minutes of sunlight left, we get kicked off the course. And not asked to leave, I mean kicked off, Marshall comes and says “Course is closed, that means get in your cart and leave, don’t play this hole. And you have to leave”. And he continued from this as we’re getting in our cart. Unbelievably rude. Will not come back here ever again. And when we got back to the parking lot, the group behind us had the same issues the week before. Overall, course is nice, but don’t come here. The staff is that bad
Muni standard
First time, signed up for hot deal. Intro was to empty clubhouse and terrible driving range. Dirty old balls, old mats and uphill poorly marked range. Stuck it out and found well cared for course with great greens. Layout is funky, rough was not deep or difficult. Overall, a good course to play if like me your improvement is to just play more.
Course was great, everything else not so much.
First time playing this course. Looked nice from the photos so thought j would drive down from Sf to play. Range, practice, area, and actual course was pretty good. The pace was pretty bad as we finished 9 holes in about 3 hours. Could have been a bad time, etc. Also, there is a public trail that runs through the course and several homeless walking around. I was warned by a local that they like to steal from the golf carts from time to time. I liked the actual playing course besides all the other things.
Good course. Work needed.
The course was too wet and fairways soft. More of a fall look. Expected firmer fairways and greens.
Great Iron Practice
Turf was in excellent condition. Greens were clear of any infections. However pin placements were brutal for the high handicap players.
Still no rakes and flags can't be touched.
Overall good.
The course is in pretty good condition and the greens are in good condition. Pin placement makes some of the holes more challenging. I play there a lot because of the price and condition of the course.
