Good course!
Even though it was very windy at times, we enjoyed the course. Good condition, especially the greens. Interesting lay out and though not long, there are a variety of holes and it requires your full game. Front nine we moved along well but did get held up on the back but still played in less than 4 hours.
Homeless is a serious problem
So many homeless encampments and people and garbage everywhere. Really sad because the course is otherwise great.
Tee box to green is in good condition. Green condition is excellent. Pace of play is slow.
One of the best courses in Silicon Valley
Exceptional condition. Greens are firm, immaculately maintained. Clean course!
Good condition greens
First time coming out to the scores. One of the biggest things that stood out to me was the condition of the greens along with the layout. Forget you’re in the city of San Jose can you come to this course you will be immersed. Definitely looking forward to coming back.
Nice short course
I don’t usually play par 68 courses but the was a fun layout. The greens were excellent.
Private course quality with several quirks
This course is really unlike any other. It is like that cool oddball relative you have that everyone likes but gets on your nerves sometimes.
The condition of the course is impeccable. I would dare to say it is as well maintained as any public course in the area. Greens are fair, fairways are in great shape, and tee boxes are better than some country clubs.
With that said there are some negatives with the course. It is a par 68 with a very strange layout. Several par 5's, very few par 4's, and a lot of Par 3's. They really did not make the best use of land here as if they built a couple Par 4's instead of 3's it would be better. Also the yardage is deceiving as they make you loop around several times so if you are walking can be a hike.
The only other downside is that there are now homeless encampments along the course. There was one sketchy guy walking by our carts as we were on the green.
Honest
I like playing here ,keeps your iron game honest. I like playing golf we’re you have water to keep you honest.
All and all it’s taken care of pretty good. The green we’re faster than Santa Teresa.
I wasn’t ever in the sand I can’t speak of that. Over all I had a good day except for who I was paired with.
Slow pace for an early tee time
Not my first round at Los Lagos, and I enjoyed the course as much as I have in the past. The only drawbacks this time around were the bare patches in many of the fairways, and the very slow pace. I tee'd off at 7:44am with two other players, and we arrived at the second hole with one group waiting to tee off, and a second on the green. The rest of the round proceeded like this. Three groups on almost every hole, waiting in between almost every shot. I'm not sure how this happened so early in the day, and I never once saw a ranger on the course.
Good Course!
Enjoyable course with a variety of holes. Not real long, but trouble if you hit it in the wrong place. Greens were in good condition and though the fairways looked a little rough, it was mostly where new soil/fertilizer had been added and they were actually in decent shape. The forecast was for some rain and so we were happy to miss it and had a very enjoyable day. Pace was good, we were a 3 ball following a walking 2 ball and they kept a good pace that we were able to match.
