Marshall
Excellent everything but the Marshall asking me to do his job
Fun short course
Don’t let the yardage fool you, this course is a fun challenge for a mediocre golfer. Large, undulating greens force you to pick your spots on your approach, and the rolling fairways rarely give you a perfect lie. It’s a long walk, crisscrossing coyote creek multiple times, so pay for the cart if you aren’t up for some exercise.
Great course love playing here, little pricy on the weekends for it not being a full par72 but still a nice course to play at.
Foxes and Slices
Booked a twilight tee time with a buddy. We’re both getting into golf as a way to hang out while socially distancing. We ended up getting paired with two other golfers who were pretty nice.
We enjoyed the varying degrees of tee boxes since all four of us varied from beginner to intermediate/advanced golfer. This helped with pace of play a lot.
Greens played quite well for a public course and hole variation was good. Fairways were a little banged up but all in all good.
The layout was a little funky, lots of bomber par 5s back to back.
The par 3s are the best part of this course.
We saw three foxes! Two were sleeping in a bunker off a green and another was stalking a turkey near some water.
Biggest downside was that they had hard cutoff at 6:30 and the course Marshall was pretty militant about that. Even though there was about 45 mins of sunlight left. It took about 2.5 hours to get through 12 holes.
Little Muddy But Fun To get Better
This is my practice course after taking a year off from golf. Still looking to break 85 though. But its a fun course all around 1/2 the course is par 3's and the par 5's are a challenge, Par 4's are great risk/reward holes, however i find a way to blow up these as i'm a risk taker.
Always enjoy
Los Lagos is my favorite course. It has difficult greens, and plenty of nasty roughs and out of bounds that I manage to find.
The fairways were not in the best of shape today, they were really soft in places. I had two balls that I hit off the tee and landed in the center of the fairway and just sunk into the soft grass and mud.
Most of the bunkers are wet with hard sand. Most of the tee boxes were in decent shape.
I had my first two pars ever today, # 14 and # 16.
Overall, I had a great time. Golfed with 3 buddies and a great day!!!
Course Needs Marshals
Play needs to be faster. A good Marshal could increase the speed of play and increase the enjoyment for all golfers.
Rude Golf marshall
The marshal was rude, unprofessional and loud. He drove the course looking for golfers to yell at and had no etiquette. He drove on the tee box while golfers were hitting. Spoke to golfers near by loudly enough to cause a disturbance while in your back swing. (Muliple times). This course was not worth the money before having had my shot, in my back swing, interrupted by this rude marshal. He was looking for reasons to yell and interrupt all that were playing the course.
Well rounded golf course
Great public golf course, friendly and professional staff (especially Jerry), and reasonable pace. My favorite golf course in the bay area.
