Brickshire Golf Club

Delightful weather for a round. Lots of other golfers took advantage of the day so the course was very crowded and POP extremely slow (5+ hours). Fairways beautiful, greens soft, bunkers needed work. Overall nice course but would pick another day.

I really like this track and wish I could play it more often.

The fairways are outstanding! Most times my ball was sitting right on top of the grass, have only seen that at pro tournaments.

You have to work to shoot a score here. The fairways aren't so tight that a slightly off line tee shot results in a penalty, however the Bermuda roughs can be punishing.

Some of the holes are replicas of famous golf holes (way cool). Wish this were on the score card - it's easy to miss the signs when playing the forward tees.

The good outweighs the not-so. Some of the traps aren't playable - just drop outside the trap. They've had lots of rain and, given the number of traps, it's difficult to maintain them all. They were much better this trip than previous ones. I personally don't want to pay the increased green fees to pay for the man-power to keep them all pristine :) .

Played 9/15 and they were one week post aeration (5/8's) and the greens were rough. Ain't gonna gig the course for this necessary bit of maintenance. We instituted a 2 putt rule and roled on.

What I was most impressed with this time playing is the condition of the fairway - ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR!!! Several times my ball was literally sitting on top of the grass.

Played for the first time, visiting from Colorado, had a fantastic experience. Course was in superb condition, no one in front of us and no one behind us until we reached the 16th hole. Course layout was great, difficult but fair, definitely recommend playing the right set of tees. Highly recommend.

I haven't played Brickshire for over a year and a friend told me it was in excellent condition. So, I tried it today. My friend was right...it is in almost perfect condition. The fairways are green and lush (no thinning or dirt spots), the rough is thick but not overly long, and the greens are some of the best I've played on this year...fast with some interesting undulations, and rolling pure. The only reason it isn't 5 stars and perfect is due to the bunkers. In fairness to Brickshire, I understand they have over 100 bunkers and they have had a lot of rain--tough to maintain. Most of the greenside bunkers were playable; however, the fairway bunkers were the ones that were questionable. As another reviewer mentioned, you can move the ball elsewhere in the bunker and it be playable. With all the recent rain, I only saw one bunker with water it in, so it appears most are draining well...it's just the side wall erosion. This course is interesting, has some challenging holes, and some holes that are certainly gettable. I played with two members, and it was great fun...and a little "member information." Brickshire is certainly a hidden gem and only $67 on a Saturday morning.

Reasonable price for course and condition. People seemed like they appreciated your business.

this is a great course in great condition. they had punched the greens for fertilizing but they still roll beautifully. bunkers are still washed out and some still filled with water. overall this is a beautiful / challenging course with all the amenities anyone could ask for.

Played here a couple months ago and it is better now. Fairways are plush, greens are EXCELLENT! Roughs aren't so brutal that u lose a stroke, but will challenge you to hit a good shot.

Traps/bunkers are washed out due to excessive rain but are not unplayable . I chose to move my ball to playable area and found the sand to be good.

Don't let this deter u from playing here, you'll miss out on an wonderful golf course.

I played the adjacent course (Royal New Kent) about a month ago - Brickshire is in better shape.

Enjoyed being back playing at Brickshire GC again. From tee to green the course was in great shape with the exception of the traps. We lifted the ball from the traps as most of them were filled with water and others showed extreme signs of corrosion. I would have given this a five star rating if it were not for the sand traps.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to returning to play here again

Fairways were in very good condition. Greens were in very good condition but top dressed the day we played so they were slow. Bunkers were totally washed out and most were full of water - I lost two balls in the deep water. To be fair Brickshire has received several inches of rain in the last two weeks with 1/2 inch the night before we played.

Very nice layout. Long distances between holes as it winds through a neighborhood. Distances are deceiving especially on par 3’s. Play longer than the distance on the card. Was cart path only due to rain and bunkers were basically ponds that day. Would go back if in the area again.

Love brickshire....the best in the wmsbg new kent area. Never overcrowded, always in great shape. Always reasonably priced for the area. I wouldn't suggest playing here if you're an idiot though.....it wouldn't be fun for you!!! Everyone else. Go!!

it had rained very hard the day before my round so the bunkers were washed and still too wet for repair. . aside from that - the course was in near perfect condition. this is not an easy course. it is challenging. it's not an easy course and the greens will mess with you terribly. great course in great shape with awesome greens.
