Azalea Sands Golf Course

Contacted golf now because we were in a severe thunderstorm. Had booked a hot deal and was told no refund unless the course is closed. I told them they can't allow people to play in a severe thunderstorm! They finally said they would give me a credit - even though the course told them that people were out playing ?????? - I don't think so, but anyway, never received any credit!!! Will not be using golf now in the future

A little challenging but well layed out. The water holes were well indicated. GPS on the carts a nice feature as our own GPS did not work. The only issue with the GPS is that it kept beeping when close to the clubhouse some for advertising and others for specials at the clubhouse for snacks. Greens were nice for time of year fairways are coming in. Staff were very friendly. Clubhouse very nice. Will be playing again if get the chance.

Played with Terry one of the staff members and the round was enjoyable.

Course is in pretty good shape right now. Hard to beat the price. Staff is always awesome.

The course was ok as a last minute booking on just arriving in MB and our accommodations weren’t ready yet. We wouldn’t rush back. The fairways were sparse and the tees needed attention.

Did enjoy are round there. Everyone from the staff to the Marshalls were extremely friendly. Course was in good condition for winter time play. I will go back

Notre départ 9h22. Départs en croise. Nous avons joué la ronde en 4 heures. Personnel gentil et accueillant. Les allées sont dénudées mais ce sont les conditions normales pour la mi mars. Pas de maison le long du parcours. Rapport qualité prix correct. Nous reviendrons.

5+ hour round. Rangers did nothing to improve pace of play.

I played this course back in June of 2023 and it was a very good value but when I played (March 2024) it was very different. First I was a single that got paired with 3 women for a 2:00 Thursday tee time. The pace of play was slower than I have ever experienced. There were four foursomes infront of us that could not hit the ball more than 30 yards. I was waiting at least 10 minutes on every single shot. This caused the front 9 to take 3 hrs and 30 min. By the time I made it to the back 9 the sun was already setting, I played through a couple of groups but it did not matter, it was pitch black on the 13th hole, this should never happen for a 2:00 tee time. It is sad because the holes are very fun and the greens were in great shape but it doesn’t matter if you can’t play all 18.

Note: no course Marshall was ever present or any pace of play checks

Pros: Great value, Greens were in great shape, fun holes

Cons: Pace of play, fairways were wet and in rough shape, and inexperienced golfers holding the whole course up.

If you are thinking about playing here make a tee time early. If you make a tee time after 12:30 you risk not being able to finish.

Course was fine. Pace of play was excruciatingly slow. 5+ hour round. No effort by any ranger to speed things up. Probably won’t go back.

Very very wet and the picture on facebook doesn’t look nothing like the course looked!

For the time of the year, the greens conditions are good.
