Azalea Sands
I had previously heard that under new management the Azalea Sands GC had improved but it was sooo much better than I had expected. ASGC was looking great, the greens were in good shape and I would recommend playing both sister courses. . . Beachwood GC and Azalea Sands.
Average At Best - C minus
Course not in great shape. Starter needs a hearing aid and a personality. Cart paths have some serious issues. Greens are super slow and a lot of them are burn out on the back nine particularly. No driving range and the putting green was a complete joke. I liked the layout but everything else was mostly a big NAH! I wouldn’t come back - at least not this year. Put some water on the thang!
Nice Layout, Fair Conditions
Cart and pro-shop staff extremely friendly. Got us out early and pace of play was great for 14 holes and then backed up significantly. Tee's and fairways are in fair/good conditions. Many greens had significant damage - from winter freeze or recent frost?? Nice, challenging layout.
FUN
This is a fun coarse to play. please remember that there are plenty of hi handicap golfers on the coarse so don't expect a quick round, relax and enjoy. The new management have made many improvements and this has enhanced the experienance. thank you
Good value
The fairways need some work and the greens are too long, but you get good value for your money.
Needs some help
We played a 4some on Sunday morning.10:48 TT.
Getting out was good and fast. The course was in good shape and the greens good.
Heres were they need help. There are NO Garbage cans on the course until you get to the 14th hole. Why? No Ball washers anywhere until you get to 16 i think? The bathrooms on the course are in Desperate need of a power washer, my wife and her girlfriend said they would rather use a port a john. And last No beer cart. Beachwood GC is butted up against the back 9 and you could almost jump the ditch and go play there.
You can Cleary see a difference in the courses. We're locals and don't think we will be back unless they improve at min. The restrooms .
