Azalea Sands Golf Course

Course maintenance workers were potentially aerating 12-14 of the greens while we were there. Machines spraying/spreading about 1/8” of sand over the greens. Making the greens run incredibly slow and very difficult to read. No forewarning whatsoever when booking tee time either. This course has a lot of potential and under normal circumstances may be a real nice course to play. I would not have paid to play this course had I known there was maintenance on the greens. Staff was nice. Clubhouse was nice. Fairways nice. Fun layout. Decent price… waste of time because of maintenance. Made the round not very enjoyable.

Forgiving course, great for people learning the game, high handicaps

This course is remarkable for the price! Tee boxes are in great shape as well as fairways! The only issue we had were the greens were recently aerated which kinda doesn't make sense considering it's "peak season". While this may be a hiccup during play, I would go play it again. The staff was more than phenomenal! So friendly and helpful! I absolutely will play here again!

Staff were friendly and helpful, placed was slammed so nothing could be done about the pace of play. All in all a great place to spend your morning.

Course is in great shape. Play was a little slow at times but not enough to be a big problem.

July 12th - Arrived and checked in. Starter was very disorganized and rude. Would send people to tee off and then chase them down after they hit off of #1 tee and send them to #10….This happened 3 times in 30 minutes.

He literally got into an argument with a customer who had called the day prior and got permission to bring his wife and son to just ride along with him and his other son while they played. He made a scene and acted as if he was the owner of the course.

We had a 7:37 tee time, one of the first in the morning and actually teed off at 8:23. We were about ready to just leave.

The greens were mediocre at best on the back 9. You could tell they had been punched about 3 weeks or so ago and the front 9 had just been punched. They did disclose that though, so no big deal.

There was not a refreshment cart on the course at all. When we made the turn we stopped at the club house to get a few gatorades and it was almost as hot in the snack bar as it was outside. The people we were playing with called in some food about 20 minutes prior to making the turn only to come in and be told they were out of that.

I would never go back to this course again even if you gave me free passes.
