Southern fan
Enjoyed golfing here for first time. Not much rain lately so course was dry and greens super fast. Overall it was good course and I would return again.
Fun
Greens are in pretty good condition! Short course without many hazards - pace of play and no beverage cart were my only complaints - but I’ll be back!
Abs worth it
Bang for you buck. Nothing to complain about. Price is right for SC. Course is in good shape. Greens rolled true.
Fair course for shorter hitters like myself. Better players should play the blues.
Will never golf here again
The only good things about this course was they got me on within an hour of calling for a last minute tee time and the greens rolled true. However, they got me on because they overbooked. I played 9 holes in 3.5 hours. As a two sum. There were way too many people on the course. Additionally, I said I am only looking to play 9, they sold me on for 6 more dollars - I can play all 18 or as many as I wanted. So of course I took that deal. But after the extremely slow pace of play I was done after 9. Furthermore, everyone in the Myrtle Beach Area speaks extremely poorly of Azalea Sands. Never again.
Pleasantly Surprised But SLOW, SLOW, SLOW
The course was in VERY good condition - tee boxes, fairways, greens. I was pleasantly surprised because I thought a "bargain" course would be run down. It was not. I also thought this was supposed to be a Beginner-Friendly course but there are plenty of fairway bunkers, water and even a few layup/forced carries to challenge experienced players. Fairways were generous for the most part. My only complaint - and one that the course has repeatedly heard and will do nothing about - is the SLOW PACE of play. They use 8 minute tee times and while this generates more revenue, it gums up the course, resulting in a 5 hour round of golf. YUCH! Wouldn't it be better to raise rates by $5 and go to 9 or 10 minute tee times? Surely that's better than upsetting everyone who plays here.
Best value
In my opinion best value course in Myrtle beach. Fun forgiving layout, very good greens especially for price. Best value in myrtle beach!
Good Value
The course is very playable for the average golfer. A great course for a value price in Mrytle Beach.
Good course for the money
Course was in good shape. Other than the five hour round it was fine. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
