Azalea Sands Golf Course

The course was ok. Close to the hotel for us. Pace of play was terrible. They did a double start on hole 1 and 10. When we finished the first 9 we had to wait 20 minutes to start the back 9 on 10. Then other groups behind us jumped in front of us to start on 10 while we stopped for a bathroom break in the clubhouse. This cost us 30 minutes of waiting in between the front and back 9. We were first out on 1 yet we were put behind others. Very poor planning and execution of play by the course who showed zero concern about it.

The golf course owes it to the customers to be transparent and honest when it comes to course conditions!! No one in the clubhouse or any of the bag drop or starters said that the course had just been aerated!!

Played a round of golf with my son. Course was not busy so starter let us go early and as a twosome. Played in 3.5 years hours. Greens had just been aerated and sanded/fertilized so they were a little slow and bumpy. However, for the money the course was an excellent value. Challenging, yet playable from all tees. Would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive round of golf on a good layout! Have played it several times over the last several years, never disappointed

Fairways not bad,but it would be nice to be informed of arearated greens before booking. This took the enjoyment out of playing the course

I chose to play at the noon hour at the heat of the day. Needless to say I would encourage hydrating well before the time to tee off. The staff was polite and matter of fact which was good. The course was well maintained and plush on several holes. The bunkers were playing a little hard after a few storms came through earlier in the week. The few trees that overhang on the fairway will make you scratch your head a few times wondering how it happened. The breeze was circulating around to take the edge off the humidity. Overall, the play is good for beginners and moderate players. Hit them long and strong. Enjoy

Played as a twosome got paired with a couple good guys had a lot of fun. Very playable course and that helped as it was our first 18 of the year

The staff was extremely rude. We arrived at 5:30pm for our tee time. We were late on our 4:30pm tee time because of flight delays. We called and Joy who works there said we were fine come on out. But we could only play 9 holes, which we were fine with. But once we got there at 5:30pm another guy Roger came running out to the bag drop and said they were not going to let us out because the carts are due back in at 7:15pm. We said, ok if we don’t finish our 9 holes, we will bring cart in at the appropriate time. He said absolutely NOT. we are not letting you on the course. He was very rude and NOT hospitable at all. Our course rating is 0 on a rating of 0 to 10. 0 being the worst course I’ve ever been to. And I have golfed all over the world. We were there celebrating my son’s bachelor party, we only were a threesome and to have a start like this. It Was very unprofessional.

Course was ok, 5 stars to the guy that was working at the bag drop!!

We always enjoy getting out to play a round of golf at Azelea Sands....

Since we 1st played here 6 years ago,many improvements have been made to the course

Although it was a very busy day on the course,very minimal time was spent waiting on the grops ahead..

The staff at thus club are the greatest,friendly,funny helpfull etc... they will try and help you out anyway they can..from Jay at the bagdrop to Jim at the front desk..a special thanis to the bar staff who serve up the best golf club fries on the strand..thanks vety much..

Sadly,our time here in Myrtle has come to an end for another year..back to Canada we go until next January...we appreciate ya'll.....cheers

Nice course very open has some short par 4s recourse management. Fun course and I do recommend. Greens a fast so be aware and the staff was great. I would recommend this course and will play it again.
