Great course, but Marshall’s needed to keep play under 4.5 hours

Course and staff was great, but slow play ahead of us detracted from what was otherwise at great day, as it took 5 hours to complete our round. Course marshal only appeared once we got to the 18th tee, by then it was too late.

Never Again

As long as a course has reasonable conditions to play in, my #1 thing on a golf course is pace of play. 2 hours on the front, ok. 3 hours, 20 minutes on the back - you should be ashamed! With an 8 am tee time I thought I might avoid that here but nope…this course lives down to its reputation.

Greens were very nice as were bunkers. Bare spots in fairways but not bad.

So, you get a 2 star because the course itself was ok. But who in their right mind wants to play at this glacial pace…and NO Marshall after the first hole.

Pace of play obviously means nothing to you…so I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Course layout not improved. Felt we were in-line of fire on some holes

Classic

Not a typical Myrtle Beach Resort course. But, it is always in great shape with green and lush fairways and smooth and well-kept greens. Great warm-up course or second round track. "Fish-hook" par 5 is one of the most unusual holes on the strand. Generally though, the course is "right in front of you" and challenging enough to be played multiple times

Great staff and very friendly patrons

Greens get a 5, coarse get a 3, layout get a 5. Lots of work being done and that’s great to see.

Not good

The greens were slow and not receptive. The fairways were sparse and hard.

Nicest Course We Played While On Vacation

The course layout was great. Really open comparted to other courses in the area. For the time of year, the course was, by far, in the best condition. The only issue we had was the people behind us were in a hurry to go nowhere, because the course ways busy. They would hit before we were in our carts to leave the green and we do not play slow. The bunkers were in great shape.
