Nice course, only FAIR condition
I’ve played Beachwood a number of times over the
last 40 years. It is a very good layout but the condition of the golf course is not nearly as good as it used to be. Number 1 tee was open for us so the friendly starter let us go early. We quickly caught up with several very slow groups and had to trail along behind them for the whole round. There was no Marshall to ask them to let faster groups through.
My son and I had a fun round nevertheless.

pricey for course
Found it pricey for the condition of the course, should be $35 and not $50. Played better condition courses for less, the same week..

Fun time at Beachwood.
My wife, a friend and myself played this course for the first time. We had a great day with a lot of laughter, a little cursing and some nice shots by us all. I would definitely recommend this course for people of all skill levels.

Great value
The course layout is simple but still fun and challenging. Course conditions was ok but the greens were in great shape. The golf carts are all brand new and very nice. I was able to book and play on the same day which is great for short notice golfing as I tend to do. Would definitely play again for the convenience and value this course has to offer.

Excellent Day of Golf
Great Day for Golf. Staff was outstanding. Grabbed a breakfast sandwich prior to round. Service was very good and sausage and egg bagel was good. Starter got us off early 7:50, weather was perfect for August. 70 degrees, slight breeze and low humidity at 8:00 tee time. Greens were a little sandy, but still rolled pretty true. Enjoyed the layout challenging, but fun for our group 17-18 handicap.

Decent course needs care
I generally like this course but it definitely needs some work and water. The tee boxes were in poor shape and the fairways were average at best. The greens putted true but were a little slow. Hopefully it will be in better shape by the fall

Great place to play
We played here twice while on vacation. It was in above average condition and the staff was awesome. Only recommendation I have is to put some water on the 18 teebox, on the grass. Both times we played I had a hard time getting my tee in the ground. We will be back in a few months to play again!!

The course was good, but was a poor experience.
Got to the course an hour early in order to hit balls on the driving range. I had fixed my swing for the millionth time and wanted to work the kinks out before playing. There was no guidance upon arrival as to a bag drop, so we ended up carrying our bags up and just setting them down next to the cart barn. I checked in and bought 2 tokens for driving range balls. $6 per token for a mini bucket, total rip off, but I had fixed my swing and wanted to see the beautiful and consistent ball flight it would create. \Walking out of the door one of the guys from the range told me they were closing the range and all I'd be able to hit was maybe some wedges... our tee time was 8:15AM. It wasn't mid day or a twilight round. This is the time when you want your range open because it's the busiest, at least I would think. So nothing more than a PW off the range to warm up. Still haven't been told about carts, so I asked. The staff will get our cart, I was told (which didn't happen until about 10 minutes before we teed off). I was also told there are no carts allowed in the range area. So I have to walk to my bag, get some wedges, walk to the range, grab 2 mini buckets, practice everything inside 150 yards, walk back. Still don't have a cart. All my stuff is just sitting on the ground for almost an hour, no guidance as to what's going on at all. I head in to the grill area to get a gatorade and cool off, about 8:05 I head outside, finally talk to someone who gets me a cart and load up my stuff. My partner and I head to the first tee that is backed up with about 5 groups, so our round was extra long with long waits before each hit. Unless you are already a member there, it seems like you don't exist. Every other part of the round was at least good, if not great. But the experience I had just getting to the first tee box was terrible.

It is what it is
Not gonna bash the place, its just a golf course at the beach. Staying at North Myrtle the only plus to play here is the 2 min drive to our condo. For same money can play much better layouts with a 10 - 15 min drive so thats my advice. I played 3 rounds while on vacation last week of July and by far this was most disappinting. But its a round at the beach this place is what it is.
