Starter was lack luster and unfriendly.

Course was sad. Decent layout, greens were horrible. Sandtraps were in play on a lot of shots, but they had not been raked, manicured and were like hitting out of mud.

Fairways and tees were okay but very thin.

Cart was dying on the thirteenth hole. Called the pro shop and was on hold through the 14th hole. Starter showed up on the sixteenth with no cart and said we would probably make it through eighteen, which we did, by a hair.

Cart girl met us on the sixth hole very nice and friendly. Never saw her again.

Won't play there again.

Played here many times now. Was disappointed that fairways in many areas are bare or lacking grass. Greens had been aerated and top dressing was sporadic - inconsistent from green to green putting was atrocious and yet charging full price. Will need to inquire about conditions if I play here in the future.

Staff was amazing! Super friendly and great to deal with. Cart ladies don’t take a card, but it was fine. Course layout was fairly easy but after some of my earlier rounds at other courses during the week, it gave a confidence boost. Price for 18 was great for what you get.

That said, pace of play was not good. Lots of 2-somes and singles hacking away. I sat behind 3 groups of 2 and a group of 4 for the first tee. Should’ve grouped people together. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes which was brutal. I get that it’s a vacation/leisure course, but could be marshaled better for pace.

Overall worth the price of admission and a decent course for shooting a good score. Would play again, but at a much earlier tee time.

The staff is so friendly it’s like walking into an old friends house. Warm and friendly doesn’t even scratch the surface. Th peace of play is great. The course is fun and challenging enough to make you pull off some true golf shots, while being very forgivable. If it tells you anything, I cancelled my reservation for later in the week at another course to play this one again. 10 of 10 recommended. #beechwoodgolfmyrtlebeach

First the entire staff, pro shop, bag drop and starter were A+! Very helpful and courteous. Provided my father a badly needed handicap flag and generous flexibility even though the course was slightly wet in certain areas. The course was in really nice condition, greens were smooth and consistent but not too fast. Overall the course is very senior friendly as well as for beginners. Not alot of walking from cart path to greens and tee boxes like so many other courses nowadays. Greens are nice size, very fair, and enjoyable which leads to quicker rounds. I hope the owners read this and keep this course open for years to come!! Golf has too many long, difficult courses for players who mostly can't break 90 and too much walking for older players! Well done Beachwood Golf Club!!

We went because the price was right (~$50), but the course isn't in that great of shape. Not to say poor, just you get what you pay for. It's an older course that you can tell hasn't been structurally repaired in awhile.

Course is good, but the greens had been aerated but the sand was more like dirt.

We played this course 2 days back to back, found it easy to book online and also very good rates. They also have great rates for junior golfers under 16. Beverage cart was very friendly and well stocked along with great prices. Had all the choices for drinks as well as soft drinks. Highly recommended for anyone that is looking for value along with a good layout and a course that’s not hard to walk.

Course was in good shape except for the greens which had been aerated and were covered with sand making putting difficult.

Greens had been recently aerated so they weren’t great but we knew about the aeration so that’s OK. Pace of play was good. Lady in the snack bar was a grouch and had been in the past.

I play the course often since I think It is a good value. If you want pristine conditions you probably need to look elsewhere.

Staff is great other than the snack bar lady.

First time playing this course and it was under aeration. While it may be putting greens very slow and bumpy it’s amazing when you play with good people don’t even notice. We definitely come back again

Nice course for the average golfer but like most courses over booked and plugged the greens the day before i played (didn’t play for cheaper ) but even though the greens were plugged and sanded the fairways were nice an plush so we actually had a great time
