Disappointed
I chose this course because it was close to our vacation condo and had favorable reviews. First, I teed off about 20 minutes late. I was put behind a foursome that was only playing 9 and was started on #10. So it was hit and wait 5 minutes Every shot. Guess what? At the turn, with the foursome gone, it was still backed up. This course plays and is operated like a small town muni. It is not even close to being worth the $50+ that I paid. If you are looking for a good beach golf challenge, don't bother. I absolutely hate being negative, but this was my most disappointing beach round of golf, ever.

A good round of golf for the price.
Beachwood has a very friendly staff. The tees need work and they’re working on them. The range is nice and they have separate putting and chipping greens. The course is basically flat with very little elevation changes. Plenty of sand traps but not much water. Beachwood is a nice layout for mid to high handicap players.

Overbooked
The course was fully booked which included a shotgun start tournament in the morning. There were no rangers on the course keeping people on time. The pace of play was extremely slow. Our round lasted just under 5 hours. Not to mention they were aerating the fairways in the middle of our round. The tee boxes were in rough shape. The greens seemed to pretty nice but they were punched a week or two before our round so not looking their best but understandable. With all the great courses in myrtle beach that are priced similarly this would not be a course I recommend.

Poor course
Course was in bad condition. Fairways were thin and not lush. Greens were fullof aeration marks making ball bounce no matter how long the put was .

Course conditions were below average due to recent aeration and the dry summer. Nonetheless, the course was very playable and we enjoyed our round. Staff is always super friendly.

Nice long ball course
Forgiving fairways in pretty good shape. More 19th hole amenities would be nice.

Stay away
Shotgun starts, rude staff, very slow and bumpy greens. Will not be returning. Advise to stay away.
