Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.

Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Great Course but slow play

We really like Eagle Nest but we had some young hackers playing from the white tees that held us up the entire 18 holes. Play tees that are right for your skill level!!

Excellent Course

Very pleased with the course. Course was in impeccable shape. Only down side was greens were punched two weeks prior and you could tell. Putting was tough. Outstanding hospitality from the moment you arrived. Bag drop and starter were both from my home state of PA and where I currently reside. Had great conversations with them. Made you feel welcomed and appreciated. Definitely a hidden gem in SC especially if staying at nearby beaches (stayed in Ocean Isle Beach). Golf carts were fantastic and included GPS. Course played wonderfully. Few water holes but nothing overwhelming. Highly recommended. I plan to play again next year on our vacation.

Great course at a value

It was my first time playing the course and I was definitely surprised based on the typical cost for a Myrtle Beach course. They adjust aerated a couple days before, but I knew that going in and understood it would affect the greens. However, I had a great time and loved the layout. It was challenging enough to keep it interesting, but not overwhelmingly hard. I'll definitely be back and in fact I played it twice in 2 days and would definitely recommend this court to anyone looking for somewhere to play in Myrtle Beach. Fairways were in great shape and I'm sure in the coming week The Greens will be at full strength. Check these guys out and enjoy it go around the golf.

The starter was really nice and helpful. Fairways were really tight lies. Greens were just punched so hard to say on them.

Excellent other than aerated greens

Great condition, very good pace of play, friendly staff.

An excellent layout in very good shape. Aerated greens were too sandy and slow, but that should be temporary.

Surprisingly good course and fun to play. Would visit again for sure or recommend. Got tee time at last minute. No regrets.

Great Even in the Rain

Fun course. In great shape. Would love to play there when it was dry. The famous 8100 yard tees seem to be an afterthought at this point.

Good challenging course for the price

This was a very nice challenging course for the money. Enjoyed the layout of the course. Deep bunkers and some narrow fairways. Staff was extremely friendly.

Very enjoyable course. Demanding to shot makers. Great layout and design. Quiet environment and really wide fairways. Our group had a great time playing. Beverage cart attendant was available and very helpful.

Beautiful day on the Golf Course

Short visit to Myrtle Beach and had the opportunity to squeeze in a round of golf on short notice. Booked time as a single and was teamed up with a friendly couple and we had a great time together. The Course was in nice shape the layout was challenging but fair. Had a great day and enjoyed the golf.

Great course layout

Beautiful day on a beautiful course…

The staff are fantastic, everyone takes time to say hello and see how your day is going

They were doing some course maintenance the day we played, teebox aeration and sanding most of the greens..that has to be done…

We were 1st off in the afternoon times,1332….no one in front and enjoyed a very relaxing afternoon in the 80 degree temps..

The closing three holes are as advertised, challenging indeed, but fun..the new golf carts are great with built in gps, music and scorecard options.

Would recommend this course to anyone..we are snowbirds from Canada, one of our favourite courses in this area for condition and cost..

God willing,we will be back again

Cheers
