Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.

Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Course was in really good shape and the greens were fast. Biggest downsides; no paved cart paths so it was really dusty, and cart monitors would deactivate the carts arbitrarily, even on the cart path in some locations.

Golf course is a great layout with water challenges on most holes but also wide fairway landing areas. Greens were smooth and consistent. Many different tee options for all skill sets

Ordinary course

A lot of sand on the course and green's not in grade shape.

At the pro shop they charge 127.16$ for 2 tee time insted of 125.67$

Enjoyable Course

A relatively friendly course. Good layout. Two of the par 5 were challenging because of water hazard placement. Greens putted well and relative easy. Good bunker conditions, Thin turf on fairways.

Good Value

Greens are in great shape! Fairways and tee boxes are better than average. Nice course layout with just enough sand and water to make it interesting. Watch out for #16 - hit an iron off the tee, you’ll be glad you did. I’d play this course again. Had an enjoyable experience.

This is one of the better courses condition wise we have played in the last 3 weeks. The only negative thing was the back 9 was very slow need a Marshall to move things a long.
