About
Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.
Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Eagle Nest 10/8/20
Course was in beautiful condition. Greens looked really nice but played a little slow. Enjoyed playing there
Nice course
Nice course. Greens were good. Fairways had some sparse spots but overall were good. Some of the tees were not in great shape. Staff was great. Very friendly. Pace was very good 3:45 Enjoyable day
Great Course
Eagle Nest is constantly making their golf course better. I think every hole has had some improvements made over the last year. Friendly staff and a nice play to play,,
Strategically laid out and challenging
We have played there several times and consider it one of our go to courses in North Myrtle Beach/Little River

First time playing!
In spite of all the recent rain, the course set up and played very well. Only comment would be to ask your grounds crew to stop when they are passing a player about to hit. This happened three times during our round.
Not bad for the money !!
First time playing this course. The greens had been sort of sliced as a form of aeration so were pretty bumpy and slow. Some tee boxes weren't the best but is a nice straight forward course. Quite open so not the most punishing. Overall a nice round.

Really Enjoyed the course
This was the first time I played this course after coming here for 30 years. Sorry I hadn't played it before. This course was great for the money and I loved the layout. In great conditions I would love this course. The Tee boxes and fairways were good. The sand traps were in fair conditions compared to other courses I have played during Covid 19. The Greens were the only fairly minor issue. The grounds crew were doing some type of maintenance on the back nine (the front to be done the next day) that left rows of little slits on the entire green This caused a bit of bumpy rolling but not the worse. I can't wait to return and play the course when at its best.

Greens Slowest ever
OK course design but two funky par 5’s. Greens terribly slow and inconsistent from green to green.

Great Course for Average Golfer
I haven't played Eagle Nest in over 10 years because it had previously become run down. I was very pleased with the course conditions. I was playing with some family that don't play often. I recommend this course to higher handicap players as it is much more forgiving than most courses in the area.

Course was in excellent condition. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I make it a point to play here every year on vacation.
