Augustine Golf Club
About
Carved from Stafford County's rolling, emerald green hills, Augustine Golf Club plays across a scenic landscape abundant with mature pines and hardwoods. The pristine white bunkers and the lush fairways contrast nicely with the trees. The course conveniently sits just 30 miles from the Washington Beltway. In 2011 when the golf course was acquired by Raspberry Golf Management, who are responsible for several courses in the area, Augustine underwent major renovations that increased its playability. The greens, fairways, rough, bunkers, and tee boxes were all redone. The layout offers a challenge but is gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence. Included in a round of golf at Augustine are range balls and unlimited use of the driving range, which has different targets and a large putting green.

Great Course
The course was in great shape, especially for late summer. The staff was superb. I had a better experience here than at courses who charge three times as much. Strongly suggest this course to anyone who wants the private club experience at a public fee price!
This course has a wonderful layout.
Greens are in a torrid condition with small weeds coming through that are being cut down daily. They need to square that away asap and destroy the growth. Greens are suffering with pitch marks. If the customer aint doing it the cse staff should! Some of the black tees are awful, check out the 7th, how can they present this tee for current play, its a joke.
Pathways around the cse are so needing some investment.
Great course. On the way back.
Love the layout. The course is coming back from the days the previous owner ran it into the ground. Some of the greens still have issues.
Play Augustine
Very good course. I find it challenging but my friends and I have a good time playing this course. I definitely recommend it and will play there again.
GREAT service experience
Totally blown away by the friendliness of the staff. I was greeted at my car and my bag promptly loaded on a cart. The Proshop attendant and cartman provided great info to make my round special. Great value as a Hot Deal.
Superb Layout
Great layout, to lose a ball you really have to hit a bad shot.
Layout great, condition is spotty
My first time playing Augustine was this past weekend. I was really impressed with the layout and the design of the course but the condition left a lot to be desired. I think in a few years after the Bermuda covers the many bare patches around the greens the course will be quite nice.
This course has great features, easy to get on in the afternoon. A must play in the DC area.

Excellent Golf Experience
Augustine is back to it's original self. Excellent layout and very well maintained. Among the better courses in the greater metro area.
This course has a great layout
Part of the Raspberry Trail. This could be the best part. Very well designed and challenging. Various flat and sidehill lies and a course that definitely makes you think about position. I really was impressed. If you can keep the ball straight it is very fair. If you cannot you will see the score go up dramatically.
Nice layout with wide fairways for average golfers.
We played around 8 a.m. and the course was moist with grounds keepers working while we played. We wish they would have been a little more considerate by stopping or being out of our line. The bunkers were not dressed for our play so playing out of one of them was more difficult. The layout is nice and the staff was good. The only regret is above and that it might have been better later in the morning when it dried out more. It's a good course that is fair with big upside.
Great value when booking thru Golfnow.
Paid $49.00 thru Golfnow and that was a bargain for this quality of a course. The staff encouraged keeping a decent pace, but was never pushy.
Great course but greens a bit slow
Played at 9:45am for $49. Course conditions from tee to green were fairly good. Rough is not particularly tall but can be difficult since the ball has tendency to sit down and is tough to dig out. GPS was erratic and could not get many accurate readings. Not sure why. Greens were smooth but fairly slow (i.e., 7-8 stimp) - probably in order to protect greens from the heat. Pace of play was very good at just under 4 hours with only occasional waits.
Staff was very friendly and drink cart came by twice each 9 holes. If it weren't so far away, I'd probably play here more.
Decent course
Decent course. A few blind shots and some hills to contend with. A little harder for a first time player there not knowing the turns and complete hole layouts. I'm sure a second time around would ease the questioning of how to play holes properly. The grass in the fairways was nice and the ball sat up well for a clean shot and tee boxes were nice as well. The rough isnt long but your ball will settle down in it and disappear sometimes. Sand bunkers were light and fluffy ( at least the ones I had the opportunity to hit out of). Only bad issue I had were the greens. Very "ball marked" and that's not the courses fault but those who don't or don't know how to fix ball marks. People, please repair your ball marks. If you don't know how to do it properly Google it and learn the correct way. It saves the greens! The day I played it took 5 hours for 18 holes and that was pretty much due to the group in front of us playing sllloowww. I guess they missed the "Pace of Play" commercials on the Golf Channel in June? Hahaha! I will play this course again in the future.
Great Condition, Great Amenities, Excellent staff!
Awesome value at the Golf Now discounted price. This place is like a private country club. Range balls included w/greens fees. It was a very hot day, and the staff had coolers with clean towels in Ice water waiting at the cart return station. Cart attendant wiped all clubs clean. Beverage cart was available about 4 times during the 18 hole round. The only negative was that too many golfers did not fix the ball marks on the greens--That's due to lazy ignorant golfers, not the grounds crew. This is a very beautiful course. It was an overall awesome experience, and I will definitely take advantage of this special again soon.
Course in great condition
Course was in great condition. After the recent rains, the approach shots were soft. Greens were in very good condition, fast enough, but not too fast. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
A bit disappointed
Very disappointed that the driving range was closed and no notice given beforehand. The grounds people were pretty inconsiderate--driving around and very, very noisy.
Course, though was in pretty good shape, just that there were a too many distractions with the grounds crew. Started off badly with the driving range being closed.
Challenging Course
I enjoyed my round, generous fariways, Not alot of room off the fairways. Very well maintained.
Nice Layout, setting and very convenient.
A challenging layout, set very well in the terrrain. The housing community is set back far enough to not interfere with play or the visual asthetics. Convenient to Central and No Virginia, particularly if you can avoid I-95.
The course is in pristine condition
This is the best condition this course has been in since I started playing here 5 years ago. 3 years ago the greens were diseased and the fairways were overrun with weeds. Now, this course is Tour ready. They have done a fantastic job bringing it back. The price is a bit high compared to other local courses, but this course is in the best condition of all in the county.
