Augustine Golf Club
About
Carved from Stafford County's rolling, emerald green hills, Augustine Golf Club plays across a scenic landscape abundant with mature pines and hardwoods. The pristine white bunkers and the lush fairways contrast nicely with the trees. The course conveniently sits just 30 miles from the Washington Beltway. In 2011 when the golf course was acquired by Raspberry Golf Management, who are responsible for several courses in the area, Augustine underwent major renovations that increased its playability. The greens, fairways, rough, bunkers, and tee boxes were all redone. The layout offers a challenge but is gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence. Included in a round of golf at Augustine are range balls and unlimited use of the driving range, which has different targets and a large putting green.

Very Nice Course, Hard For First-Timers
Despite the beautiful vistas offered by the many elevated tee boxes, Augustine GC will challenge you from the openly shot with blind landing zones, deceiving yardages, and thick rough. The landscape itself is well-groomed and the greens roll nicely, slightly faster than average. I wasn't having a particularly good day off the tee, and as such, I nearly ran out of balls. That said, most of the fairways aren't hard to hit, but you have to know where to land the ball to have any chance at getting the ball on the green in two (or three).
The staff is very friendly and the amenities are decent, very nice clubhouse for those that like to spend time in it. A good GolfNow deal will leave you with a smile either way.
Well worth the visit, great layout and greens.
This course is back to its original great condition. challenging design, great views, not boring, and you must hit all your clubs. greens were in great shape and rolled with speed even when wet.
The old Augustine is back!
Course was in very good condition, even with all of the recent rain we've been having. Greens were rolling nice and the course looked great. Really enjoyed the round.
love the coarse
Third time playing love it. Thinking about joining because it is close to home great price and great condition.
Great Value!
I've played Augustine twice in the last 6 weeks and it's been a great experience both times. The course is in excellent condition - I only recall one edge of one green that could've been in better shape. Fairways are immaculate, bunkers are in good condition. Pace of play is excellent - I wasn't looking at my watch, but it took my foursome 4-4.25 hours to get through 18. Absolutely play here if you can get a deal on GolfNow - it's a great value!
Absolute delight!
All the good reviews are true. Nice layout, a fair test for average golfers. Conditions are pristine, greens roll nicely, about a 8-9 on the stimp, which is perfect for recreational golf. The staff was great, courteous and helpful in a low key way. The ice towel on the 12 hole on a hot day was a nice touch! All and all, a very good value on GolfNow. Highly recommended!
This course charged me an additional surcharge
I signed up for a $60.00 rate for two golfers via Golfnow website but was charged $70.00 at the golf course. I challenged the additional charge but was told it was a surcharge. I did not dispute the charge further because of my pending tee time and I did not want to inconvenience my guest debating $10.00 with the cashier.
Amazing comeback
This course has made an amazing recovery from just a couple of years ago. In great shape. Played around noon for 35.00. Marshall out bringing ice towels to players on a hot day. The only negative is driving south on interstate 95 with all of the road, work going on.
Course in good shape. Fair for all levels. Was cart path only due to heavy rain the previous day.
Staff very nice, course in good condition especially after heavy rain previous evening.
Course was in good condition
The course is challenging and is in very good condition. Pace of play was a little slow.
Excellent course at a cost that can't be beat
Incredible course. Pristine fairways, challenging greens, excellent staff members, a beautiful pro shop. Everything you'd expect at a higher cost than what you actually have to pay. I feel like this club could bump up the greens fees and I'd still consider it a deal. Will definitely be returning.
Course is deceptively challenging. You have a lot of wide open fairways but don't expect to shoot your personal best here because it will break you. There's far too much green reading needed and the course is anything but flat.
Improved
Since Raspberry took this over the course conditions have improved tremendously. This is a nice course to play. The greens are in great shape, front was slow and on the back nine they were about a 10 or 11. Overall this track is really nice and like most courses in this area, overpriced. But I have yet to see more than 1 or 2 courses worth more than $50 in this area. The staff was really nice and friendly
Solid Course in need of a Marshall
The course is rather short, but in great shape! The only thing was a marshall/ranger to move the foursome in front of us along who played as if they were in the US Open...SLOW!
Such a fun course
I have played this course about a dozen times in the last year and it continues to be one of the most fun courses in the area. Despite the almost one hour drive to get there, it is well woth the drive. The course is so visually splendid, very quiet and green. Course was in very good condition and the greens were in the best shape I have seen. They are true and a good tight mowing away from being perfect. The staff is always friendly and I always seem to get paired up with great people.
Great course, nice layout... Pace of play = Awful
Augustine is coming back! It had died a slow painful death .. but it is back! Once again it has become an outstanding course! Conditions have improved greatly, the staff was amazingly nice the day we played, thanks Eric! The changes that have been made to the course over the past two years are near perfect. The only downfall the day we played (a Friday at 3:24PM) was the pace of play. It was Awful, a five plus hour round, waiting on nearly every shot! Come on people… While we’re young!
This course is a real treat.
The best course I have played this year. Greens are very difficult to read , but the roll is incredible. Obstacles on every hole. They will surely be seeing a lot more of me, can''t wait to get back.
fabulous course
starter greeted us with a smile, course a challenge, beautiful condition, lunch in clubhouse outstanding
Fast Greens and great fairways!
This course is in great condition and the the greens were probably running about an 8 or even 9 on the day. Lightning fast... The fairways are very green and great to hit out of and the rough is still a little "rough". A very challenging track and fun.
EXTREMELY IMPROVED!!!
Played here regularly back in the early 2000's, then it fell apart!! Haven't played it since 2007 until just recently in a charity event, and I have to say... WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Everything was in tournament condition! Loved the newly renovated greens and the bunkers were the best I've ever seen them!!! This course is definitely going back into my scheduled rotation!!!!!! Great job Raspberry Management!!!
Back to its top notch condition!
Augustine Golf Club in Stafford Virginia is back! The standard of care over the last several years has been erased and this challenging layout is once again in beautiful condition and a pleasure to play. The fairways and greens have returned to the top notch condition that allowed the average player to enjoy the track, while giving the accomplished player every opportunity to score. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the clubhouse facilities are wonderful. You won't be sorry you booked a tee time at Augustine Golf Club.
