Canyon Lakes Golf Course & Brewery

Some long and challenging par-3s. Geese's dropping everywhere. Greens are patchy.

Nice course layout and moderate difficulty. Pace was good but after 9th whole another twosome started at 10th hole in front of us. Slowed the pace.

I only play here a few times a year at the most. I played 2-3 months ago and the conditions were ok so tried again. This time the greens were really really bad to the point why even bother putting. Slow, sponge, bare spots. Not sure what happened!!! I play many courses around the East Bay and some greens are better than others and I am OK with that. But the greens here need help badly!!!!

This course has so much potential but it's not in good shape. It's overwatered, and I stepped in a very muddy patch that required me to scrape mud off my shoes for a long time. Bunkers had standing water in them. Also the marshall was unable to move pace of play along, I quit after 15 holes because it was 4 1/2 hours at that point and I was fed up with waiting.

Course was very muddy and in need of maintenance. Greens were better than in the past

I was excited to come back and play a round. I checked in with a very nice lady that let me tee off early. She told me “not many people in the course play fast. 1st couple holes were fine, course was very wet. On day of 100 degree you don’t expect mud balls.

On hole 3 I ran into a 5 some, I went past them and saw 2 more 5 somes all back to back. After 6 holes. 1.5 hours later, I finally left.

For $65 it was not worth it

Course was waterlogged everywhere. Its crazy to charge almost $100 for a soggy mess. Every fairway was full of mud. Bunkers either hard sand or full of water. Greens were inconsistently fast and slow. Getting harassed by the course marshal for pace of play when we were jammed up behind people because the starter had us all start before our tee times so we were stacked on top of each other. Overall not worth the money. Play somewhere else.

Have not found a better course in the area for under $100. Going the in the afternoon is $36 with a cart which is much cheaper then everywhere nearby. The course is difficult but has a very exciting layout. Easily my go to course.

Several groups playing extremely slow with one group chasing geese in their cart. No Marshall to be found restaurants barclosed early 4pm.

Greens are in desperate need of care, soft bumpy spongee throughout the entire course. Rough is deep , repairs going on in sand traps, other sand traps are hard with little sand.

In the past this iwas a fun course to play but with all the issues I do not recommend playing here until its back to normal and Marshall is on the course

Course was great the slow play was brutal the 4some in front was delayed by the 4some in front of them and in the heat it was brutal. Thought it was gonna get better but the second nine was just brutal and the 3 some behind us all got tired of waiting and left
